Aaron Gwin Teaches You How to Corner With Your Eyes 1

This is one of the most common mistakes that I see on trail and something I've had to work on a lot throughout my career. Learning to use your eyes when cornering will greatly increase your exit speed and overall momentum while riding. It's natural for this to feel a little weird and scary at first but you'll get better with practice. Be patient and build up slow.

Tip: It's easy to forget this technique when you're riding as looking too close in front of you is often a habit that has become so second nature that it's hard to even remember that you're doing it. For a constant reminder, you can simply put a piece of tape on your handlebars and write "eyes up" on it. That has helped me to remember when I'm wanting to work on this consistently.
