Fly Racing Prizm Knee Guard
Vital Review
Overall Review
Fly Racing Prizm Knee Guards are the lone mountain bike knee pad option from the long-established Moto and now MTB brand. The $84.95 knee protectors are well-built and offer some pretty high-tech protection solutions. Like most modern pads, the Prizms fall into this in-between region of protection. They're not quite full-on DH pads, but they're a bit bulky for a lot of uphilling. Fly worked with a European foam developer to create their soft Reaktiv Prizm Foam (RPF) which is used as the main protective element in the pad. The pad's design, foam usage and outer Kevlar construction means the...

Fly Racing Freestone Helmet
The Good

Lots of cooling vents Good colorways Light weight Rear head cover Adjustable visor

The Bad

dial retention system weak awkward visor adjustment matte finish scratches easily No camera mount

Overall Review
I have been looking for a helment with more back of the head coverage and picked this up from Jenson with a great price match, so the price was way cheaper then the average $109 retail. First impression was right on on. The helmet has lots of vents (19) and is super light. The dial system retention and adjustable chin strap offer lots ofadjustability. I chose the Hi-Viz Blue in a size med/large. While I am not sure about the other colorway's finish, the Hi-Viz blue is more matte than glossy, which I personally really like. Out of the box the fit was good. Didn't have to do any adjustment with...

Fly Racing Freestone Helmet
Vital Review
Overall Review
by Nick Zuzelski With today's all-capable, aggressive trail bikes, it is becoming more common to leave the DH bike back at home while getting our adrenaline fix on similar terrain at high speeds with these shorter travel steeds and open face helmets. For your head, this means you should probably be looking to maximize the amount of protection offered by your trail lid, as a simple XC helmet may easily be overwhelmed in case of a big crash. Fly Racing has recently entered the MTB game and have now brought the Freestone helmet to the table. Lightweight and breathable, with a long list of...

Fly Racing Default Full Face Helmet
The Good

Excellent value, relatively light , have had it on for long periods in heat and have never felt the need to take it off because of over heating. Looks really good, and gets a lot of complements. Very comfy

The Bad

Maybe not the best finish, but it is a budget helmet so maybe be expected, but still the feeling when holding and wearing the helmet is really good.

Overall Review
The face piece ended up cracked today after a massive OTB at high speed. It really did protect me, no sign of itcompletely breaking and causing further injury.

The Good

I suppose you could say the looks (from a distance)

The Bad

Poor quality, Strength, Protection, Value. Will take you straight to A&E in a crash.

Overall Review
My son, weighs in at 20kgs and is aged 8. He had a full face impact (nothing unusual here as he has had many whilst BMX racing). The impact resulted in the Chin Bar cracking and folding back into his face, causing his jaw to fracture and suffer concussion. The Chin Bar is not certified for Downhill usage (make a note of that)! In fact the helmet is only certified at the most basic level for head protection. Not worth the risk. http://www.flickr.com/photos/55910689@N02/8960656971/lightbox/
