The Bad

In regard to bike performance, there are a few components that have a huge impact on how one’s bike handles. For instance, suspension has an enormous role on if you’re straying on the trail or if you’re getting bucked off the bike. Riding at your highest potential is greatly determined by components like suspension. On the other hand, there are minor, less significant components that influence our confidence while riding that are often overlooked. Grips are one of these components. Understanding that grips are the things that literally connect a rider to their bike, I wanted to find a set that...

Chromag BZA 35 Stem
The Good

Strong, burley, great looks, oversized M6 hardware, highest quality and craftsmanship, and made in north America.

The Bad

On the heavier side and is on the pricey side (but helps support north american workers).

Overall Review
When piecing together my dream endure bike, every component was hand-picked. I was looking for something strong, clean, showed off my SixC bar, and had to have a 35mm clamp diameter. Weight wasn’t my main focus but wanted something reasonable. After some massive comparisons, I landed on the Chromag BZA 35. With a few months of riding on it, here are my impressions: Out of the Box: The thing that really sets this stem apart (besides the pricetag) is the fact that it came directly from my friends in the great white north. CNC machined in the loom just down the road from Chromag’s headquarters in...

Chromag Lynx DT Saddle
The Good

Quality cover, good color options, unique style

The Bad

Doesn't fit everyone

Overall Review
This saddle came on a DH bike that I bought and decided to try it on my trail bike. The first ride I had to turn back and put my old saddle on about 20 minutes into the ride. The 2nd try I toughed it out the whole way, but only because I wanted to give it an honest go. I REALLY wanted to like this saddle, the color matched my trail bike way better than the one I took off, but I just couldn't get on with the shape. Just sitting and peddling on it was painful and it got worse as I started to climb steeper ascents. For comparison's sake, I've ridden the WTB Volt, WTB Silverado, and Ragley Tracker...

Chromag Fubar OSX Handlebar
The Good

Colors are hot, 800 wide, 35mm option, quality finish

The Bad

Slightly different geometry than other brands, takes some getting used to.

Overall Review
I'll be honest, the reason I bought my Chromag OSX 35mm bar was that the "hot yellow" matched the neon yellow on my Norco Range. I was hoping that it would be close and that the tint of yellow wouldn't be too far off. It arrived and to my surprise, the yellow matched exactly. If you have a neon yellow color-way that you want to add to, this is the bar you are looking for. Beyond that, I'll compare this bar to my old Race Face Atlas 31.8mm bar which I rode for 3 seasons and decided to retire at the end of last year. I really liked the feel and width of that bar. The 785mm width seemed perfect...
