Rocks, rocks, some broken rocks, a few more rocks, a drop or two, then a jump, some traversing, then rocks and dryness at Bootleg for the Mob n Mojave DH race.
That would make a rad World Cup venue. I’d
Imagine everything red bull would want for TV. Wide open fast sections, exposed sections, no restrictions on camera angles and a complete change of scenery from the alpine ski venues where 80% of world cups end up. I’d also think for the racers an interesting mix of terrain from the loamy, rooty forests of Europe.
It looks to me like Austin is running DHF's, but Wentz is running Specialized Butcher DH's (as seen on IG). He also normally runs cushcore inserts so I imagine the same is the case here. Bootleg, like Vegas, is definitely a place for the meatiest rubber you can find.
Steve had a Butcher DH 2.3 rear with 27 PSI with a CushCore insert. Front was a Butcher BLCKDMND 2.6 also with a CushCore insert at 25 PSI. Austin had 26/30PSI Minions with CushCore.

Hauling. That terrain is brutal on rims / tires. I’d be curious to know what your tire / insert combo is

Both riders look to have DHF's. Not sure on inserts
