BIKE ABUSE! Vital RAW, 2019 World Cup Downhill, Val di Sole Day 2 6

Before the rain came in at the 2019 Val di Sole, Italy, UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Downhill today, riders experienced good course conditions in the morning before qualifying. Val di Sole is often considered the most brutal course on the circuit with unrelenting steeps, giant rocks, tricky roots and massive, bike-swallowing holes from top to bottom. Later in the day, during qualifying for the Elite Men's class, the skies opened up as thunder, lightning and heavy rains made the course nearly unrideable for some.

I'll say again that there is something very different about the way his suspension is dampened compared to everyone else. Finn's is similar but stiffer in the rear I'd bet. Just watching his bike track there and Andorra, it looks like he's running much different settings to the rest of the top 20.

Agreed. Him and the team have that bike set up right. it’d be interesting to know what they do different to get theirs tested and dialed. My guess is a more scientific and less “feel like” approach.
