So you have DW saying that today's mech setups are so good, there isn't really a need for gearbox bikes... "Filip Polc Finals run, after 1/4 track riding without chain and stucked gear cable in my cassette&rear wheel..."

Quote from 2013 Nordketten Pro and Polc rides the Evil which is DW design. This is only one example, but it pops up a LOT in pro racing. Clearly there is still a drawback with mech designs...

Cool interview. But C'mon, Gearboxs slay mechs, tell it like it is. It's just not as profitable for you or the big brands, Gearboxs would hinder your crank and chain guide sales, and don't work as well with your designs, and take from the benefits of some of your designs. Derailleurs are way better than they were, but you still cannot shift any time, you still have to pedal a change through, and they're still way more fragile and less reliable than a decent gearbox bike. Apart from that, keep up the great work, you're killing it. You're not building ALL the best bikes though.

That was awesome! Seems like a cool guy with an interesting history.

What was that blue bike hanging in the stand behind him?
