Vans Warner SPD Clipless Shoe
The Good

Extremely good looking compared to the other clipless shoes on the market, the strap is great and gives it a sturdy feel, reliable waffle sole, strong and stiff sole.

The Bad

No lace protection, although i havent had a problem, some what awkward cleat position although you do get used to it, strange having to cut the sole when you first get them, had a problem with the sole breaking, but glued it back and no problems, quite heavy, no ankle protection, expensive

Overall Review
A great shoe from Vans, as usual. Good looking, strong and bomb proof. I have a preferance for good looking shoes, and these fit the bill. They do take some getting used to and positioning the cleat takes some time, there are some build quality issues, but overall a good shoe.

Vans Gravel Shoes
The Good

They grip the pedals very well out of the box because of the rubber and barbecue of the waffle pattern. They also don't look retarded in public and is something you could ware to work/school and not get asked if you are wearing clown shoes. They are very flexy so hiking in them isnt that bad.

The Bad

The Vans gravel is a great shoe while it lasts. My pair wore out in less then a month of trail riding and i mean like full on holes in the bottom worn out. Also for whatever reaason i would get really bad blisters on my feet from them which was due to the lack of a padded insole. i was super...

Overall Review
In summary i would say that they were a major disappointment that functioned well and looked great but didn't last. If you are a sponsored rider and get them for free they would be great, but if you buy all your stuff stick with five ten.

Vans Warner SPD Clipless Shoe
The Good

Solid construction, decent support, better looking (and simple style) than most other 'casual' SPD shoes, waffle sole gives plenty of grip. Like the extra velcro strap.

The Bad

Can be a bit heavy compared to other shoes (Shimano's DX shoe comes to mind). No lace protection. No ankle protection.

Overall Review
I've used this shoe for DH racing and XC riding for close to two years and have been very satisfied. The Warner is a fairly straight forward shoe with no problems at all. I've even brought these shoes to the bike park by accident instead of my 510s and did fine with them on flat pedals (just remove the SPD cleats) as the waffle soles provide great grip (not the insane grip of the 510 Stealth Rubber but the difference is negligible). Fashion-wise, these shoes are great with a pair of jeans or some MX gear, which really doesn't matter much but I know there are folks out there who are fashion...
