Source Summit Hydration Pack
Vital Review
Overall Review
Source produces one of, if not THE best bladders in the hydration game. Thanks to some pretty advanced manufacturing techniques that render the finish of their bladders particularly resistant to build-up of gunk and bacteria, these bladders are capable of staying fresh with little to no maintenance for years. We have pushed this aspect to the limit and beyond, and we’re still here to tell the tale. Source also makes various hydration packs, like the Hipster pack that put a new spin on the good old bumbag a few years ago. For 2020, Source has prepared an update of the Hipster to add a little...

Source Hipster Hydration Belt

Review by Amanda Wentz // Photos by Lear Miller (Action) and Brandon Turman (Product) One of the more surprising trends in enduro (aside from enduro itself) is the rebirth of the fanny pack. Stolen from Disneyland tourists and grey-haired slot machine jockeys, the fanny pack has become just as much a part of the enduro uniform as half shells and goggles. Is this just a trend or are the fanny-packers really onto something? Source believes in the design so much that they created the Hipster Hydration Belt and we put it to the test, to find out if the trend has merit. Hipster Hydration Belt...

Source Widepac Hydration System
The Good

No leaks. Easy to clean and dry. No bad taste and no bio film. Read my tip on drying.

The Bad

The construction of bladder, hose and mouth piece and connectors is really solid, but may be a bit heavy. The mouth piece may drip a tiny bit more than some competitors'.

Overall Review
The hydration bladder works as it should. I find with all bladders, it is key to keep them clean and dry when not using them. This one is easy to dry with a towel because of its big opening. I have also found one trick for air-drying the bladder: If you just leave the bladder as it is or even close it after use, it seals itself up and the moisture stays inside forever. But if you look at the third picture above, there are these two holes that can be used to push open the top of the bladder. Of course you can't hold it open forever waiting for the water to evaporate, but if you take the (orange...

Source D|Vide Hydration System
The Good

Source D|vide delivers. It is easy to fill, easy to clean, the tubes are great and easy to connect disconnect from the reservoir (with a click system) and fits well on my Shimano U4E backpack. No odd plastic flavors after a while, nothing! I've read the secret lies on the glass like technology. The...

The Bad

Not exactly bad, but I feel that the valve kit needs some time to get used to, and probably some work around. You bite and suck like in most of the systems, but then you have to twist (mouth or hand) to close it, as it might drip a little. Camebak big bite is still a winner, but, on the other hand...

Overall Review
I have used Camelbaks since the 90s and since followed the widespread of other brands and solutions. I went all these years on and off using water or isotonic but lately, because age and heat, I've been using isotonic drinks and water (two bottles) on my Zaskar (transformed to be some kinda of a road bike) and I feel much better having two drinks instead of just one kind. With that I thought the possibility on doing the same with my trail bike. The thing is I didn't want to use bottles or a bottle and hydration, and every time I used isotonic only on my Camelbak it was a pain to clean. I...

Source Fuse 12L Hydration Pack
Vital Review
Overall Review
Review by Fred Robinson SOURCE Hydration might not be the first name you think of when it's time to buy a new hydration pack, but with what we've seen from SOURCE so far, that will likely be changing in the near future. Recently we've had the chance to test a slew of products from SOURCE Hydration, with the latest being the Fuse 12L Hydration Pack. With a large 12L cargo carrying capacity and 3L bladder, the Fuse Pack is intended for short hikes and rides, but in our opinion a pack this size is ample for longer days in the saddle. With a minimalist approach in terms of construction yet still...
