Kali Protectives Strike Knee Pad
The Good

The fit is good. Air flow is good on hot days. Sick style

The Bad

All black, so no chance to dial in my kit with matchy colors

Overall Review
I was a skeptic based on internet photos. I was worried that these pads would not be light enough, and comfortable enough for long rides with lots of climbing on hot days in Socal. Kali assured me they were comfortable and that they use them on all day rides. Getting the box here and opening up I was pleasantly surprised to find a fairly low profile pad with, that was light weight, and a perfect fit for my XL size legs.I recommend these to any trail/enduro riders that want more protection than a thin neoprene softshell pads, but more comfort and flexibility than a hard shell knee pad. Ive been...

Kali Protectives Interceptor Open Face Helmet
The Good

Breathes excellent with outstanding comfort. Visor works great when its in tact.

The Bad

Durability could be improved in plastic, pads inside don't hold up to a lot washing.

Overall Review
I've worn this helmet now for 2 full years, about 230 ride days. Luckily, I've never had a big crash, but I've had little ones here and there, and the helmet has held up well for what I've put it through. So for protection, its done it's job but nothing major to report there. The fit is great. The boa lets you adjust for a great fit on your head and the helmet doesn't move around. It is more comfortable for my head than any other helmet I tried on. After hiking with my helmet on my pack and putting my bike on my shoulder, I accidentally broke a couple of the clips that hold the boa to the...

I bought this for downhill riding, it is comfortable and light. I have crashed in it several times and I am here to write this review so that should count for something.

We all watched in horror as Nicoli Rogatkin fell down a 30-foot cliff during the 2015 Red Bull Rampage, which thankfully he was able to ride away from. Well, in that crash he happened to be wearing a prototype version of the Kali Protectives Shiva 2.0 full face helmet, which was only recently introduced. Available in both carbon and a less expensive Tri-Weave version, the new helmet meets a number of certifications including DOT, CPSC, EN 1078, just to name a few. Boasting improved protection thanks to a number of technologies, a key piece of science is what Kali calls LDL or Low-Density Layer...

No item of kit is more important than the helmet. It is the requisite piece of safety equipment, and it is also one of the most argued about items one can buy - not on the merit of function, but rather fit and appearance. The iterations of brain buckets have come a long way in recent times, with Troy Lee Designs setting the benchmark for aggressive half-shell helmets with the A1 a few years ago now, and brands like 6D reinventing the wheel with their ATB-1 T. So, anytime a new dome cover arrives on the scene, it is scrutinized heavily, compared to what has come before it. Kali Protectives has...

Kali Protectives Savara Full Face Helmet
The Good

Light Well ventilated Works well with most goggles Nice sturdy visor Could fit a GoPro hero session underneath visor Plenty of spots to mount an action camera

The Bad

Felt a little flimsy Metal seatbelt type buckle rusted easy Clear coat paint started to peal off after about 6 months

Overall Review
Having used both a TLD d3 and a Savara, I can easily say the d3 is worth the extra $. However, this helmet is nice and light and still offers much more protection that a half shell for the money.
