I like to try new bikes and parts, but I am also looking to find the best materials to assemble parts together. I have had many kinds of grease and lubes, but I had never used copper anti-seize before this year. Often used on bolts or for some parts' assembly on titanium frames, the Finish Line anti-seize works well in press-fit interfaces and might even be better than grease. Some greases tend to lose their properties with time. They dry out, and some can be pushed out when pressing a headset or press-fit bottom bracket if their consistency isn't good. Finish Line Dry is a syrupy synthetic oil designed to evenly lube your chain. This lube is apparently formulated for dry riding conditions, but "dry" is a subjective word. On many parts of the planet, dry means it hasn't rained since last night. In parts of the western USA, dry conditions can mean that it hasn't rained in a few months. Ever go in your LBS for a tune up only to be told that your entire drivetrain is shot? If so, go lube your chain now. If not, go lube your chain now. When chains get dry, that metal on metal grinding wreaks havoc on your drivetrain. With no lube, it doesn't take much to prematurely wear out a chain and eventuallydestroy your drivetrain. With cassettes that cost more than $400 retail, this can quickly become a very expensive mistake. There’s a constant fight in the biking world between keeping a chain lubed and gunk-free. With all the experimentation one goes through with lubes and picking the one that works best in their environment, there is one tool out there that will help you though it all. I'm on my second bottle of FinishLine Wet Lube for my chain. I've never tried anything else, so not much to compare it too, but FinishLine makes race worthy products, and when I ride in NorCal area especially in the winter, its great to know that my chain won't break / stick / make a shit load of noise.
