Made of very soft Alloy, Not appropriate for hard trail riding
Rating:
The Good
-Available in multiple widths
-Relatively affordable
-Light Weight
-stickers are customisable or removable for stealth look.
-Consistent ERD across different width rims -I have gotten really good at rebuilding wheels
-I have been able to test rims in multiples internal widths and settle on a favourite
The Bad
-Poor strength
-Really susceptible to denting & Flat spots
-Don't always mount well tubeless
-expensive when you factor in how often they need to be replaced
Overall Review:

I have owned 7 of these rims in less than 12 months. Generally you'd think a repeat purchase of this volume would be a good sign; but as I only have 2 bikes I strongly consider this a negative.

I originally bought a 27.5" arc rim with a 30mm internal width to replace a velocity blunt 35 that I broke. At 6'4'' and 96kg, Admittedly I dent the occasional rim and have always been tough on rear wheels. Since I started running these rims my rate of rear wheel consumption has really gotten ridiculous.

The first rim I bought was in stock at my local shop so I bought it out of convenience. With a 30mm internal width, removable stickers, relatively affordable price and acceptable weight, they seemed like a safe bet. When freshly built ride well are laterally stiff and are vertically compliant even at high spoke tension. but that's pretty much where the positives stop.

Now for the negatives:

Durability is incredibly disappointing. These rims are made of a really soft alloy and subsequently dent and flat spot really easily. An on-trail impact that would generally result in an "oh shit! I hope I didn't flat moment" has regularly resulted in a total annihilation of these rims.

The rim sidewall is very short and incredibly thin. This means a minor impact that might leave a cosmetic ding in any other rim i've ever ridden often resulted in massive flat spots, large dents that propagate into the internal wall of the rim or buckles that can't be taken out with truing. Because the sidewall is just so flimsy they just aren't very strong.

Initially I thought i'd just got unlucky so ordered a replacement rim. When I quickly killed that one too, I thought maybe the wider 30mm rims were more susceptible to dents. I ordered a 27mm internal version to test this theory and partly out of laziness so I didn't have to buy new spokes. The 27mm rim didn't last long even though i was running a massive 2.6 tyre in a grid casing. Unfortunately by this point I'd already purchased a pair of these rims on clearout to go on the 29er I was building. 2 races and 4 rims later I have finally given up and have some stans sentry rims on order. I've heard Flow MK3s are bomb proof so I'm hoping the sentry rims will be as reliable as flows.

I find it hard to recommend these rims to anyone, they're just not reliable or durable. I f you want to build a lightweight wheel set there are better alternatives.  My local store said they've found these really soft as well especially with maxis tyres.

For reference I have one of these built on hope hubs, with Sapim race spokes and polyax nipples. I run Specialized butcher grid tyres 2.6 tyres and Huck Norris tyre inserts. In the process of destroying these 7 rims I have only received 1 flat, the rest of the impacts were not even signifigant enough to puncture the tyre.
