Overall Review:

These shorts are my favorite riding shorts, and I have tried many others of the same brand and other brands. These shorts fit very well, maybe a little on the small side, but because of the stretchy material they are made of, it is not a problem at all for when you are pedaling or riding. I find myself reaching for these shorts because I am able to keep my phone, wallet and keys in my front pockets which most shorts are not capable of.  I have only had them for about a month, but ever since purchasing these are the only shorts I reach for even on the days at the bike part and the DH tracks.  They are so comfortable and light, and I have had nothing but amazing experiences with this product so far.  Do not hesitate to pick them up!

light weight, great fit, no liner. Perfect is you wear a liner w padding (Fox launch/Titan)
The Bad
the Velcro fasteners all get unglued after 2 weeks--horrific QC. systemic problem on all shorts, each year--come on TLD...

Overall Review:

The Skyline short is a good pair of mountain bike shorts for those riders that do not want a chamois. Why spend money on a trail short w/o a chamois? The answer is comfort.  This short is designed for mountain biking and not for walking or hiking around.  The cut is generous enough to wear with knee pads but not baggy like a freeride short.  It's a chino cut.  The stretchy material is comfortable and keeps you much drier than cotton shorts.

There are basic front pockets (like on your denim pants) and a zippered rear pocket on the waist.  Adjustable velcro tabs also help you dial in the fit.   I wish there was a single side pocket big enough for a phone or gloves.

In terms of sizing, I believe the skyline short runs a tad small in the waist.  The bottom of the short is stitched such that you can shorten the inseam by an inch by cutting off the bottom.  I think most guys can get the inseam they want on a trail short.

Treat yourself and get these shorts for trail rides.
