Expected more power
Rating:
The Good
Uses mineral oil
The Bad
Bleed process, plastic lever body, reliability
Overall Review:

I can't say I went into testing them without bias. At the time I got to test these brakes more extensively, I worked at a shop and about the same time we had ~50% of maguras go back with a warranty issue. However, people raved about their power so I took them out for some rides to see what's it all about, but perhaps expected too much. They'd slow the bike down nicely until things got steep, but in steep and faster terrain I'd need to shut it down quick and these just wouldn't seem to deliver. The lever is rather soft even with a perfect bleed. Doesn't seem to pump up at all, but once you reach some high pressure, it felt like I'm just flexing the lever more but not getting more power.

Good chance things could have been improved with experiments with more brake pad compounds, but given the reliability record I didn't consider further testing.

How to stop a train? Ask magura!
Rating:
The Good
Saved me from lots of crashes and simply is stoping like.a damn train stopper, kinda confused about levers, seems like plastic but says carbotecture, also like that flip flop thing :D
The Bad
Was kinda stressful to set them up properly, to bed in the pads was abit pain in the azz but can't complain because they are savers. People talk bad about spongy feeling in levers but i'm really fine with that, got used to dosing the brake pressure just as i need it.
Overall Review:

Lifesaver in lots of near crash situations, some was near death so ye, i fell i love with them.

one of the most powerful brake I have earned so far
Rating:
The Good
can stop a truck. lot of tweaks that make it work on every condition.
can be sensible, progressive as you wish. don't need extra disk centimeter, 185 rotor are enough for enduro
The Bad
the alignment are tricky with the caliber.
don't see magura at race event ( I have done the last EWS in Olargues for instance) where SRAM is prime and helpful.
the lever is the part to have in spare definitely because to be light it is the part that break easily.
Overall Review:

have use the MT7 in various trail and condition ( flowy trail, rocky one in Finale or south of France, wet or dirt) they work very well and the power is incredible compare to other one that I have earned.

I don't have bleed them yet so cannot tel you if it it simpler than SRAM.

The only drawback at that time are the alignement that need to be more precise than other to me for the caliber and the lever than can break .
