Giro DND Gloves - Very noticeable seams
Rating:
The Good
The material on top is decent, durable, quite breathable.
The glove has very rubber strips for grip on the thumb and index finger.
The Bad
The quality of the seams were not great, this was quite common issue with most gloves on the market at the time of writing, and can vary from glove to glove & brand.
I've experienced similar quality issues with some of the Poc Resistance Strong gloves.
The thumb stitching failed after just few days of riding
The first thing I noticed when I put these gloves on was I could feel the seams, everywhere, it's not painful, but it's not comfortable, these gloves were too big for me, but these gloves were the only gloves I could fit, I think I tried small or medium in the local shop years ago, but I am not sure which size i tried, they did not fit me.
Overall Review:

Since I used the wrist support it resulted in wear on the top of the glove.

Since I used the wrist support it resulted in wear on the top of the glove.

In Large These gloves don't fint me when worn directly on my skin, but the shop I bought them in only had Small and Large, so I went for Large, small did not fit me, but Large was too big, but now I use them in the winter.

Comfort

The first thing I noticed when I put these gloves on was I could feel the seams, everywhere, it's not painful, but it's not comfortable, these gloves were too big for me, but these gloves were the only gloves I could fit, I think I tried small or medium in the local shop years ago, but I am not sure which size i tried, they did not fit me.

I did not use these gloves in the summer due to the lack of comfort and size, but I began using them in the winter with fleece liner & nitrile glove for water and wind proofing and it increased the comfort, but I could still feel the seams slightly, but was not bothering me, with this setup the gloves fit me, but the gloves could fit even fatter fingers, but also a even fatter palm and upper thumb area. so if you have a big fat thumb these gloves might be worth a look. I fouled fit the index finger from my other hand. I did not use the glove enough to stretch much if any.

This picture shows the gloves when they were barely used.

The index finger and middle finger has a gap in the top material and has a thinner material in the finger joint.

The glove has very rubber strips for grip on the thumb and index finger.

They do a good job at increasing the grip.

They seem to be quite robust, but I will continue to use them and see how they do long term.

The index and middle finger has the palm material overlaps the finger tip and nails, this is done to increase durability, seam in finger tip is a common weak point most gloves on the market has, but I think Giro should have done it on the thumb too, because the thumb is also a high wear area, due to use of trigger shifters and grapping and holding things, and crashes. the ring and pinky fingers are not so that's why they probably did not go for that, but the thumb needs to have it too. but if you are skilled with a sewing kit you can reinforce the gloves if you struggle with wearing tips.

nice sweat/nose wipe area, which is a nice feature to have, I've used it many times.

Perfect Daily Glove

The Good
Everything. Honestly this for me is a perfect day to day glove. If I'm out on a long mission that's a bit gnarlier I swap to something more padded. I love the grip on these. They fit well. They breathe well. They'll take a crash or two but don't expect them to last forever. They look good. Think I have 3-4 pairs right now. I generally buy 2-3 every time I buy a pair. End up giving a pair away every now and again to a friend in need.
The Bad
Only knock I'd say is durability. I hear people talking about them blowing out but so far I have had zero issues with that. But take a decent spill in them and you'll need to replace them. But at this price point and with this type of glove that's what I'd expect so for me it's just not a negative. I highly recommend this glove

Read above.

I ride with these 9 out of 10 rides. I keep a pair in both cars and in my desk at work. It's the perfect day to day glove. If it's a gnarly day or a park day swap for something with more padding. otherwise these are money.
