-Chin guard does not restrict airflow
-Lighter than comparable helmets with detachable chin guards
-multiple cheekpads and helmet liner pads included for a dialed fit
-fixed visor (I like it) -price is high but standard for this kind of helmet
-price is high but standard for this kind of helmet
-helmet liner will start to separate from foam over time
-mips is starting to be replaced by more advanced motion-control systems
Fox did it all right when this helmet came out. Leatt, TLD and 100% have made their own versions at this point, but they seemingly aren't any better (or better looking), especially when it comes to feel and ventilation.
However, MIPS is getting a little out-of-date, and FOX has been making this version of this helmet for years now. IF they don't lower the price, I would definitely entertain going to another brand with a newer concussion-prevention tech as they all weigh nearly the same amount, and they are all essentially the same price.
I would certainly recommend this design over something with a detachable chin bar as it is lighter (and *maybe more reliable)
The fixed visor has never bothered me, but for some it's a deal-breaker because people like stuffing their goggles up there on climbs, but that seems like a dumb idea as it blocks your main vent ports
