SOLID AND RELIABLE !!!
Rating:
The Good
Simple, light weight, easy to install and adjust. VERY smooth
The Bad
bash guard can crack if improperly tightened
Overall Review:

This is the best guide i have ever ran. I run one on my 2012 Demo 8 race bike and on my 2011 Specialized p3 dual slalom bike.

I have never had an issue or dropped a chain on either bikes. I have beaten the hell out of both bikes through rock gardens or hucks to flat. For the price they cant be beat

Simple and works great

It's light, strong and works well.
The Bad
The early model bashguards can crack in the mounting area if you get a bit hamfisted and overtighten. The new bash has metal inserts so it should be a non-issue now.
Overall Review:

I've been running only Gamut guides for approximately 5 years now. Like I said, they are simple and work great.

Decent Guide...Sometimes
Rating:
The Good
Super Light and easy to install
The Bad
Sometime Drops Chain
Overall Review:

I had this chain guide on a 2008 Turner DHR, it was a lightweight option to the E.13, and looked sturdy out of the box. It ran flawlessly for a few months, then I had to adjust it a few times, because it would drop a chain especially when things got muddy.  When back-pedaling in some trail sections that were muddy the chain could get stuck and cause a real issue.  Luckily I've never used this guide in a race, but I have seen it fail under race conditions on friends bikes....

Also, on my particualr guide, other than dropping the chain a sometimes it was fine.  The guide is a strong plastic, and the black color comes from the backing, which will began to chip away around the edges, at least mine did after a year of use.  There was also one hit the bashgaurd took when riding Boondocks at Northstar, the gaurd around one of the chain ring bolts had splinted inside, and caused a cracked looking part around the chain ring, however the guide held together fine.  I think the plastic can absorb hits easier.

The guide is a great price for the product.  And would recommend it if your always in dry conditions.

Not bad chainguide
Rating:
The Good
- light
- works well
The Bad
- price
- only for 36t ring
- no metal inserts for screws in bashguard (gets cracked very easily)
Overall Review:
It would be nice to have adjustable plates to use this chainguide with 32-36t chainring. Bashgurd takes the beating very well, but the screws often get loose. After tightening them I found crack in the bashguard, so some sort of metal inserts would be very nice. Also bottom roller gets loose, so the first ride use loctite everywhere. On positive side, it worked well, just sometimes (1-2x per year) the chain drops, but I'm not sure if it's the chainguide fault.

Great lightweight guide
Rating:
The Good
lightweight, durable, smooth rolling, good looks
The Bad
has a clicking sound
Overall Review:
Great chainguide, very durable, I've had many hard rock strikes and still going strong. Looks good and comes in a variety of colors. Chain makes a clicking noise on the lower roller since it is hard plastic, not any louder than the average hub though.
