climbs good not too twitchy on rocky tech ups, comes down smooth and wants to be playful and loves the rougher stuff. get the right shock tune to maximize suspension, upgrade to a 36 160mm, slacker, and your all set. needs stiffer wheelset to offset slightly flexy rear end feel.
The Bad
rear end flex but ill put that on my flexy dt x430 wheels
Overall Review:

sweet, fun, poppy, corners predictable.

Truly a do it all bike

Very Pedal efficient Jumps good. Feels like a little DH bike coming down. Drifts surprisingly steady. Comfortable for long climbs. As I ride in Ashland, OR we have a lot of fun descents but they take a lot of work to get up to.
The Bad
Nothing, This bike is a slayer
Overall Review:

Upon purchasing this I immediately changed a few parts out : Chainguide, Straightline Pedals, Shimano XT Brakes, Super Short Stem, Race Face Atlas Freeride Bars (uncut). After riding with these upgrades I have no desire to change out anything else. Even these tires are pretty dope and are predictable. I also ride a 2007 Santa Cruz V10, and I set to replace my 2007 GT iDrive 5 3.0 with this Reign. I still have my V10 but the more I ride this Reign the more I love it. I can pedal all day long and still flick and throw cutties around with the Reign. Super Fun Bike. I am really impressed of the downhill capability this has. Of course the shuttle days I always will bust out the V10 but until then I am loving the Reign.

If you know Ashland, we are a great place for Enduro. After living here for 8 years I finally have a bike I can confidently claim "it can do everything." Back to the XC portion, the Reign pedals way better than my GT did. Pretty incredible how efficient this Reign and how comfy the climbs are. If you are thinking about getting one I highly recommend choosing the parts I did.

Light (13.4kg w/pedals), handles like a dream, if you really push it you'll find that the front and rear tires loose traction at the same time allowing for some fun two wheel drift. Corners well and suspension works well.
The Bad
Press fit BB, no chain guide mount tabs, rear shock is too linear for my liking, stock narrow bars.
Overall Review:

I'm 170cm and brought a small, if your around that hight, I would probably go for a medium, unless, like me, you enjoy a small bike. I have upgraded the forks to talas to make steep climbs easier, but the standard forks feel awesome too. Running ~20% sag still bottoms out hard on 1m drops. Fixed this by putting grease in the shock air spring to decrease the air volume creating a more progressive feel. You can also buy spacers from fox that do the same thing. I would like to go 1x10 but the lack of chainguide tabs and the press fit bb makes that difficult. I havent had much joy with the press fit bb, it sezed after 5 months. This bike has its issues, however they arecompletely overshadowed by its handling and performance.

This bike is a great all around bike that can do it all. I have rode this bike in some of the heavy downhill trails of Colorado and had little problem on technical climbs and descents. I use this bike mostly as a cross country bike in the midwest. I can still kill climbs going up and also can handle heavy descents in the same ride. The brakes perform great and I like the slack geometry, makes it easy to get that front wheel up.
The Bad
There is a little bit too much bobbing on the climbs and because of the type of suspension, there is a lot of chain feedback, which causes some trouble with shifting. I need to tune up the bike more often because of this. The rear suspension is a bit soft, so I find myself bottoming out more than I might want, but I prefer stiffer suspension, so that might just be me.
Overall Review:

Overall this is a great all mountain bike that is great on climbs and descents. I like the bikes more slack geometry, like on many giants. If you are a road rider, a trek's more leaning forward type of position mat be more comfortable. Also, this bike isn't good for drops or riding around the neighborhood, but of course this bike isn't made for that.

Excellent all around bike!!

This bike is great on the uphills, destroys the downhills, and (with the correct shock tuning) absolutely flys through the rough stuff without a hitch.
The Bad
In all honestly I have nothing bad to say about this bike.
Overall Review:
Sweet bike. It climbs, descends, transitions between the two with ease, and jumps great. This bike has eaten up every type of terrain that I have put it through, and has been really fun to ride.
