The top 20 Elite Men downhillers at Mont Sainte Anne were separated by just 6.2-seconds as a dramatic race day on the World Cup concluded. In the face of a freak rain shower that altered course conditions for the final 15 riders, Steve Smith made his home country of Canada proud with an astonishing victory. Emmeline Ragot of Lapierre Gravity Republic rose to the top of the Elite Women's class with her first win of 2013.

When you open up the slide show to a podium like that, you decide against your earlier better judgment late on a Monday night, press pause, go grab a beer from the fridge, open said beer, sit back down, full screen, and resume. Vital, the best place for WC DH photo journalism. Period.
