Thank you Sven Martin, Duncan Philpott, Hoshi Yoshida, Gary Perkin, Maddog Boris, Dave Trumpore, Matt Delorme, Vanja Kodermac, John Reynolds, Joe Bowman and anyone who helped tell the story of the 2012 World Cup on Vital MTB. We are honored by your incredible talent. -spomer & the entire Vital staff
Steve Smith finally gets a green light and his first UCI World Cup win. Long time coming...it won't be his last. -Sven Martin
This is a first. Vital MTB OTB. Brannigan checks himself out on the big screen as he splits two pillars of the sport. -Sven Martin
As Nick Beer exits the rocks and woods, the color of the ground gives the photo an autumnal feel, which I'll also add, was reflected by the temperature in Norway. A podium result for Nick to end the season on a high will leave him motivated this off-season! -Duncan Philpott
Mustache power? Who will you go as this Halloween? Rob Parkin from DirtTV claims it was his 'stache that give Steve the edge. -Sven Martin
Aaron Gwin with the overall, USA-style. His hand kept him from racing today but his performance the rest of the year made it possible for him to sit back and watch for a change. Heal up Gwinny. -Sven Martin
The universal language of World Cup spectating. -Sven Martin
Rachel Atherton savors this victory and Overall UCI World Cup series win. A calculated risk skipping South Africa in March was rewarded with strong results the rest of the season. Cheers! -Sven Martin
This gives you a bird's eye perspective of the big gap mid-course. Peaty is just taking off (no kicker) and Minnaar is about to land in a tiny natural down-slope before the berm on their first run this morning. -Sven Martin
Bryn Atkinson was on fire all week, but just couldn't seal the deal each run. Super fast splits once again today, but thinking he had a flat he eased back towards the end of the track today. Foot out flat out. -Sven Martin
Norwegian paparazzi. Follow @maddogboris for some of the craziness. -Sven Martin
Brook Macdonald had a slow start, making a tiny error in the start hut which rattled him somewhat the rest of his run. With a win under his belt this year, 2013 is wide open. -Sven Martin
Bam Hill was on hand to watch his father take 5th in the World Cup overall. After missing two seasons with injury it was good to see Sam back healthy and getting stronger every race. -Dave Trumpore
Gee Atherton had a 100% podium rate this year in the World Cup and World Champs. The only thing missing this year was a win. He finished up right on Greg's heals and I'm sure it will be close racing again in 2013. -Sven Martin
Brendan Fairclough had a solid ride today, despite feeling a bit too timid and conservative at the top. He must have been popping the jumps instead of racing them. A fast second split put him back into the top ten. -Sven Martin
Three crystal trophies and two metal and rock ones...not bad going for the weekend and the year. Dan Brown keeps it smooth sailing all year long for GT Factory Racing. -Sven Martin
The Junior Men's title was still in contention at Hafjell, but current Junior World Champ Loic Bruni managed to seal the deal. -Duncan Philpott
First year junior and now a familiar face on the scene, Tahnee Seagrave, takes a tumble during a podium-pace run, pushing her back to 9th place. She has her goals set for next season and will be looking to make those steps. -Duncan Philpott
Details, details, down to the millimeter. -Dave Trumpore
In the calm before the racing Alan Milway resets the data on Needles' power cranks which would remain on the bike for his race run. Collecting data from all the runs over the weekend will prove useful in gaining a better understanding of where training pays off! -Duncan Philpott
Cam Cole just missed the podium by 1.1 seconds and slipped into sixth for Dodzy. -Sven Martin
The top step of the men's overall was decided before Hafjell, yet the other places were up for grabs. We saw Danny Hart get bumped from his number 5 plate down to 8th due to injury while Greg Minnaar sealed up second place. -Duncan Philpott
Both World Champions took 3rd place today. Morgane Charre was the smoothest girl through the rocks and now proves to be a favorite with the fans! -Duncan Philpott
#TIN The race location here at Norway may have been hard to show with the track, but the podium certainly had a picturesque backdrop! -Duncan Philpott
The weather here is quite changeable, but one thing that's consistent is Robin Wallner's style down the course! While his race run didn't reflect the pace of his qualifier, we know he has a bright future ahead of him. #scan'tstopwon'tstop -Duncan Philpott
180 skids are definitely the best way to turn around and check out your time. George Brannigan follows through from qualifying to put time into some big names and an amazing 2nd place finish, only .4 off of victory. -Duncan Philpott
What better way to get the crowd warmed up for the finals than an AC/DC coverband at the finish line? -Dave Trumpore
The Norwegian National Champ and performer of a sick whip, Isak Leivsson, took his 79 plate to 11th place today. Scantastic! -Duncan Philpott
Over the past few races we've been noticing Markus Pekoll for blinding displays of speed in sections on the track. He matched his best ever World Cup result today. 9th place in Norway and 9th Leogang a few weeks ago. -Duncan Philpott
The Men's 2012 World Cup Overall podium. -Dave Trumpore
It's been another awesome year of racing, I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Vital MTB's newest staffer, Duncan Philpott, was surprised to learn he just landed the new Dirt cover with Minnaar at Worlds. Big celebrations all round tonight. -Sven Martin
One more Stevie celebration shot for good measure as Devinci T.M., Gabe Fox, forces an R rating...STOKED! -Duncan Philpott
Three Devinci riders on the podium...that has to say something about the team and the bike. Congratulations Gabe. -Sven Martin
Tahnee Seagrave, Aaron Gwin, Rachel Atherton and Loic Bruni, your 2012 UCI World Cup series winners. What an incredible year of World Cup racing it has been. Thank you Vital MTB viewers...we can't wait for 2013! -Sven Martin
