This email on Cam McCaul's phone says it all. Rampage practice was closed today due to weather, and the schedule for the remainder of the weekend has been adjusted accordingly. - Trumpore
With rain falling and the venue closed, we headed into Virgin to see the sites and sample the local flavor. - Trumpore
Rattlesnakes with cowboy hats and raccoon tails? Seems you can buy just about anything at the Virgin Trading Post. - Trumpore
A few slices of pizza later, a plan was made. If you can't practice in one spot, head to another. - Collins
With practice called off, Brendan Fairclough had more than enough time to preen over his reflection in his fresh new lid. - Collins
Several riders migrated to the old Rampage site to get some training in. Anton Thelander and Fairclough head up the ridge for a go. - Trumpore
Fairclough doing what Fairclough does best. - Trumpore
Thelander has been turning heads all year in traditional slopestyle events and is quickly adapting to the elements at Rampage. Keep an eye out for him to surprise some folks on Sunday. - Trumpore
Kyle Strait was all business today. Avoiding the crowded lower slopes of the old Rampage site, he headed high up the ridge. - Trumpore
Makken can lay it over with the best of them. - Collins
Jeremy Witek, one of the Rampage course builders, enjoyed the day off and was out getting sideways with the crew. - Trumpore
Hands off, feet off and sideways was the only way for Andreu Lacondeguy today. #fullmoto - Trumpore
Nico Vink has been spending a lot of time with Lacondeguy and it shows. - Trumpore
Vink again, this time well past flat. - Collins
Sam Pilgrim has no time to shift his eyes away from the Rampage course, so a simple zip tie keeps him on the straight and narrow. - Collins
Thelander looks to be a serious wildcard. Even Sam Pilgrim was nabbing GoPro footage to study back at the Holiday Inn. - Collins
From another angle. Red Bull's newest edition has style for miles both sideways and upside down. - Trumpore
Garret Buehler laying it over. - Trumpore
Brendan Howey goes sky high. BOOST! - Trumpore
Simon says... - Collins
"Heel clicker? I got that." A tribute to the old school. Name this rider, win a Vital t-shirt. - Collins
The unknown ripper threw down hard all day long. - Collins
When a plan comes together... - Collins
When a plan falls apart... - Collins
Don't tell any Red Bull officials, but Brendog did some digging of his own today. Rebel without a cause. - Collins
Pilgrim's reaction to Utah's sub par ABV beers. Priceless. - Collins
Hands down (and hands off), Lacondeguy won "practice" today. - Trumpore
Brandon Semenuk showed up a bit late to the hip-off, but that didn't stop him from quickly throwing down. - Trumpore
Party trains down the ridge as the sun sets on another day. That's the legendary Randy Spangler out in front. - Trumpore
Fittingly, a day of rain ended with a rainbow and hope that tomorrow it will be back to business as usual. Keep it locked on Vital for more action from Red Bull Rampage. - Trumpore

Description
Heavy overnight rain put a day long hold on digging and practice, but that didn't stop the world's best freeriders from having a blast. Luckily the old Rampage site was close by, and it served as the perfect place to let loose and get sideways. With qualifiers now happening on Saturday, they'll get back to business and finish sculpting their lines when the sun rises tomorrow.
