Those ludicrous speeds have to come down some time. The epic flat-out battle of the 2019 Les Gets World Cup Downhill is cemented in history thanks to Sven, @maddogboris and Dan Hearn. Enjoy the sights, the deafening sounds and unbelievable stories of another fantastic weekend of racing.

Amaury today was racing for the win and laid it all on the line. Spectators (out of TV shot) saw him getting wild just before the first woods but holding on for dear life and pushing on right to the end. -Dan Hearn
Yes Amaury Pierron. Everbody said that we will see super tight times in finals....that didnt counts for Amaury...he won by 2.3 seconds. @maddogboris
If only you could experience the deafening volume of the crowd here. One of the most impressive finish areas we've seen in a long time. Bravo! -Dan Hearn
Tracey Hannah in front of the one of the biggest crowds that we have seen at a World Cup taking another victory and retaining the overall lead. @maddogboris
Thumbs up for Tracey! @maddogboris
Tracey a few hours earlier during her tirst run this morning - a very quiet and empty track. Compare this to the Mark Wallace photo a few hours later. -Sven Martin
...Mark Wallace, lost in a crowd. -Sven Martin
Thibaut Daprela has been chasing Elite Men's times and the only way is full gas. Drifting into Junior Men's first place like a boss. -Dan Hearn
Thibaut Daprela with some corner roost before crossing the finish line! @maddogboris
Vali Höll with the fastest race run of any woman today! @maddogboris
Vali with all the style on the big road gap during her race run. -Sven Martin

Bruce Klein collecting his winnings from the unofficial Vital MTB Long Jump Contest! Let us know if you want to see more of these! -Dan Hearn
The speed police finally caught up with Loic and whisked him way for sentencing. -Sven Martin
Loic using every inch of the track for his lines and then some. This is how you win races or end up on the podium. Track speed EVERYWHERE. -Sven Martin
French crowds, French rider. What a race Les Gets put on. Loic coming down to a roaring crowd. -Sven Martin
Loic Bruni riding within his limits, but still fast enough for 2nd place. Battling for the overall sometimes means holding a little in reserve, especially on a track as loose and unpredictable as this. -Dan Hearn
Marine Cabirou showing she has the consistency and speed of a mature well rounded racer. Second place today. -Dan Hearn
Marine Cabirou was 0.666 seconds behind Tracey in qualifying Today in finals it was 0.677 seconds with a solid 2nd place result. @maddogboris
Patrick Laffey finding some consistency with the podium. 2nd place today. -Sven Martin
Second place for Anna Newkirk in Junior Women's -Dan Hearn
Laurie Greenland sending it. Stoked the see him back on the podium! @maddogboris
Stoked to see Laurie back on the podium with a third place for the first time since Andorra last year. -Dan Hearn
Only the top five girls on the podium did the final drop. It was that tricky and big. It was no problem though for 3rd place ripper, Mariana Salazar, who threw in a tweak for good measure, too. -Sven Martin
Canadian Junior shredder, Seth Sherlock, with the 3rd fastest time. @maddogboris
Third fastest Junior woman, Lauryne Chappaz. @maddogboris
Troy out of the top three for the first time this year. He says he rode a consistent, safe run, not pushing for the edge and the win. -Sven Martin
Happy Birthday Troy! It's the first race he hasn't been in the top three for a while but is happy to have ridden consistently. -Dan Hearn
Italian Eleonora Farina, six seconds behind Tracey into 4th. @maddogboris
Kye A'Hern 2.850 seconds behind Thibaut on in 4th today. @maddogboris
Strange and wonderful things happen at World Cups. Loris Vergier showed up to the Syndicate party as Freddie Mercury. -Sven Martin
Loris weaving between the crowds and the media. His race run was his first full run on the track today, after hitting a tree and hurting his arm in trying this morning in a massive crash. Ninja skills to save the podium. -Sven Martin
Greg Minnaar still up there. Just half a second off the podium for the lanky South African. -Sven Martin
Gaetan, Myriam and Remi sneak a peek of Amaury during the men's podium. What a close knit team they are. -Sven Martin
You guys can not imagine how loud it was in the finish area! Pompon in audio @maddogboris
Remi Thiron fan and Vital favorite. -Sven Martin
Hugo Frixtalon has one of the meanest scrubs in the business. He backed it up with a solid 14th place finish too. -Sven Martin
Reece Wilson navigating the section of track the tripped Steve Peat up in 2004. -Sven Martin
Three Frenchies on the podium, about a million in the crowd. -Dan Hearn
4 out of 5 guys singing the French national anthem. @maddogboris
Estaque slicing his way through the thick French crowd like a hot knife through a fresh baguette. -Sven Martin
Peaty has had a few beers in his career so why stop now. Sapaudia Brewing made a custom brew for each Syndicate rider. -Sven Martin
Spray Wars! -Sven Martin
Brendan and Dean have a laugh when its apparent I have just lost some sort of silly bet. The bet was worth it though to see Brendan back up where he belongs. What a comeback. Just 0.1 off the podium. -Sven Martin
Brendan scrubbing for milliseconds. -Sven Martin
F§"$ Yeah Brendog! How sick is that! In Val di Sole you back on the podium? And sven without his eyebrows? Olly Wilkins in audio. @maddogboris
Thanks MS Mondraker for the after-race gourmet burgers!! The WC paddock is one big family with open doors for all. -Sven Martin
Thanks Alex and David for an amazing track, taping and race weekend. We look forward to coming back next year. -Sven Martin
Vive La France -Sven Martin
Lucas Cruz to 5th. The podium is super tight even in the juniors. -Sven Martin
A perfect way to launch a new bike. Scott Downhill Factory takes team of the day. -Sven Martin
Loris Vergier on his first lap down the track today. Which was also his only lap. -Sven Martin
Fastest brothers in the World? Baptiste Pierron 16th today. -Sven Martin
Dean Lucas sliding into the top ten. -Sven Martin
Amaury in full beast mode. Full power still on tap at the end of a three-minute run and a decent margin in today's otherwise tight racing. -Sven Martin
Eddie Masters slips into 11th position under the watchfulleye of a capacity crowd. -Sven Martin
Ironically it's not Mayhem Media on the right getting arrested this time. -Sven Martin

Connor Fearon, 13th for the flat pedal pusher. @maddogboris
#friendshipgoals @maddogboris

Alexandre Fayolle scrubbing for the crowd. He looked aggressive all weekend but didn't manage to pull out a top time. -Dan Hearn
David Trummer has consistently impressed us and is showing real consistency this season. 8th place today for the Austrian. -Dan Hearn
8th place today and 10th overall for Trummer. The time is coming and it will be interesting to see if any big teams already have an eye on him. @maddogboris
You have seen David Trummer's face and now you see his drifting rear tire. @maddogboris
Madness at the podium. @maddogboris
Crazy to think that this was Troy's first race this season with a result outside of the top3. @maddogboris
Goncalo Bandeira got a bit wild in the last corner before the finish. @maddogboris
The crowds are a little smaller when the juniors are racing early in the morning. @maddogboris
Flo Payet through the crowd. @maddogboris
Classic Thomas Estaque style of the drop. 9th position for him. @maddogboris
Loris Vergier watching Amaury's racerun. @maddogboris
Brook Macdonald, 15th, leaving contrails through dusty corners. @maddogboris
Finally some champagne showers. Even it was a small, cheap bottle. #notsofrench @maddogboris
Yeah Laurie Greenland! @maddogboris
Thank you Les Gets! -Sven Martin
