Intro Text

We're trying something different this week. Press play on the epic audio interviews below, then, as you listen, cruise the even more epic action photos from Sven, Boris and Dan.

All eyes on Amaury Pierron as he crosses the line in front of the most famous crowd of the season... -Dan Hearn
...and sets the winning time of the day! @maddogboris
The moment dreams are made of for Amaury Pierron. -Dan Hearn
Unforgettable and the entire field stoked for Amaury. @maddogboris
The first is always the sweetest. -Dan Hearn
Amaury Pierron with a dream come true on one of the most respected and longest running tracks. -Sven Martin
Tahnee Seasgrave you f&*ing badass! One-hander for the win. Yes, race run. @maddogboris
A father like Tony Seagrave is just as passionate about maximizing a rider's potential as he is seeing his daughter win a World Cup. Both boxes ticked! -Dan Hearn
Big turnaround day for Tahnee after yesterday's less-than-stellar qualifier. From being ready to hang it up to top of the box. Never give up and always believe. -Sven Martin
Tahnee knows what do when winning a World Cup! @maddogboris
Yes! Loris Vergier! Together with his friends Loic Bruni and Amaury Pierron, there were 3 of the coolest Frenchies on the podium in Scotland. @maddogboris
A great display from Troy couldn't push him past 3rd but he was only 0.3 seconds off Amaury's time. Insanely close racing! -Dan Hearn
Aaron Gwin shows us that he knows how to have fun and play on the bike too. First practice run this morning. -Sven Martin
Check the bloody mouth, hands and jersey. True grit. Battered, bloody and bruised. Aaron Gwin gets back on the horse and chases enough valuable points to hold on to the leader's jersey headed to Leogang. -Sven Martin
Rachel's last training run before finals. She had all bad luck she could get, but we all know sooner or later she will be back winning! @maddogboris
Rachel was angry, sad, disappointed and also happy after thinking what could have, should have been today. Snapped chain and then the run of a lifetime. -Sven Martin
Rachel may not have won today but her run will go down in the record books for one to remember. No chain on probably one of the most physical and pedally tracks on the circuit and still nabs a third place with a crash to boot. -Sven Martin
Pretty sure we will hear a lot from the Aussie pinner, Kye A'hern in the future! Second World Cup, first win. @maddogboris
Kye A'Hern moves up to plate number 2 with his finish today. -Dan Hearn
We know it's just the second World Cup of the 2018 season, but if Vali Höll continues like this, we could see another "perfect season"! #nopressure @maddogboris
Vali Holl finishing 29 seconds up today. Her time today would have put her in fourth position in Elite Women. -Sven Martin
A crash meant Myriam Nicole finished a fair margin of 8.2 seconds back from Tahnée, but held onto second place and the leader's jersey. -Dan Hearn
Second with a crash is not too bad after all. -Sven Martin
What a day for Reece Wilson! Podium in front of a home crowd in Scotland. Bucket list ticked! His race run was the only run he didn't trick the Visit Scotland arch. -Dan Hearn
A hot seat run that had to feel like an eternity realized on the podium. With his 4th place, he is one of the few Scottish riders to ever nab a World Cup podium. Congrats! @maddogboris
Unlucky Luca. With a level head, he was ready for the challenge and welcomed the pressure. The fastest top split followed by a flat rear tire and the leader's jersey and podium slipped away just like that. -Sven Martin
Lots of sympathy for Luca after his run that was marred with a flat. -Sven Martin
You think you know a thing or two about racing and the roots. Then you chat to Martin Whitely, who, with this Ft. Bill, has clocked up his 200th World Cup. -Sven Martin
Loic Bruni didnt had the best start of the finals day. This little crash in training woke him up and maybe helped to end up on the podium with a 5th place. @maddogboris
Despite still not being 100% recovered, Loic snuck under the radar onto the end of the podium. -Dan Hearn
Danny Hart was one of the favorites to win here today. The times are tight and a small mistake would bump you back off the box. Just 2.7 seconds back, but 6th place. -Sven Martin
Dak Norton also snapped his chain and had to death grip his way down the course today. 59kph in the motorway without pedaling was faster than many with a chain. -Sven Martin
Marcelo quietly slips into eighth place banking another solid Top 10 result. -Sven Martin
EWS goes Dowmhill. Martin Maes with a solild 10th place and hopes for World Champs if it all works out. @maddogboris
Marine Cabirou sending the "Tissot arch" during her race run and onto the podium, -Sven Martin
Less than a second off the podium but all the way back in 11th for Brook MacDonald. It's tight at the top these days. -Sven Martin
Finn Iles figuring it out. Lots of pressure for this young first year Elite rider. Only 6 seconds off the pace, but down in 19th. No worries, no hurries with his future. -Sven Martin
Manchild, Kade Edwards, with a bit of a scrappy run this morning leaving the local boy in third. It's going to be an exciting season watching the Brit, French and Aussie battle it out. -Sven Martin
Kade through the fog. @maddogboris
Tracey Hannah early in the morning before securing yet another podium. -Sven Martin
5th place today for Tracey Hannah who probably expected a little something more today. -Dan Hearn
#USDH had two of the six women in the Junior class. Anna Newkirk just 0.027 seconds behind the 2nd place for bronze!
Always one of the most stylish riders to shoot. Some things will never change and it was almost visible on the webcast to see Blenki gaining time through his air-pedaling. 9th place for the gloveless Kiwi, just 3 seconds off the top spot. @maddogboris
#longlivechainsaw. A bit of Canadian support for Mark Wallace in Fort William! @maddogboris
I just wanted to let everyone know that we got eaten by midges, not midgets today! George Gannicott, like a blur. Haha @maddogboris
Today was only the second time Greg Minnaar watched a World Cup as a spectator. Unbelievable when you think about how long he's been in the business. Looks like he had a fun day though, doesn't it? @maddogboris
Junior shredder, Senderella, Paula Zibasa with a 3rd place and her first World Cup podium! @maddogboris
Thibaut Daprela just 0.7 seconds away from the Junior win. #gromwars @maddogboris
Early this morning in the Trek Factory Racing pits, everything ready to go. -Sven Martin
An unfortunate rear brake mechanical ended Greg Williamson's dreams of getting onto the podium. He certainly wasn't the only rider to have mechanical issues in his race run. -Dan Hearn
A solid 4th place result for Junior Jamie Edmondson. -Dan Hearn
It might be the first Elite World Cup that Matt Walker has raced, but he still knows how to bring the fun! -Dan Hearn
Classic Brendog style, flat pedals and dialed tables. All the way back in 21st, but just 6.3 seconds off the top pace. -Dan Hearn
Luckily the weather forecast was wrong the whole time and we kinda stayed dry. The low clouds today were just a bonus to some incredible racing. We'll see you in Leogang in a few days! @maddogboris
