Smashes to smashes and dust to dust...qualifying is nothing but a distant memory in Andorra at the 2019 World Cup DH. Sven Martin, @maddogboris and Dan Hearn get spit out of day-long dirt barrels to bring you the goods!

Leogang's Privateer of the Weekend, Johannes von Klebelsberg with the 9th fastest time. As a bonus to Wyn Masters "Prize Money," he won the support of the Pivot Factory Racing Team today. Wear jeans, get a Top 10, earn the cover. @maddogboris
Mechanics Podium - albeit a couple of days late! Technically, Aaron should be standing in 2nd spot after qualifying - that's how tight the points are at the moment - but this was the order coming into the race.
1 - Aaron Pelttari - Troy Brosnan
2 - Jack Roure - Loic Bruni
3 - Gaetan Donaz - Amaury Pierron
4 - Scotty Mears - Danny Hart
5 - Jason Marsh - Greg Minnaar
Fastest ime after going down hard...must be Loic Bruni @maddogboris
Where´s Waldo's leg? Loic Bruni went down last training run before finals. @maddogboris
He was obviously not stoked about and still finished the day with the fastest time. @maddogboris
Nina Hoffmann scored her first top qualifier spot today by around half a second. She was very calm going into qualies today - let's hope she can keep her cool and get a top result tomorrow. -Dan Hearn
Nina and Rachel discuss the mental side of racing. -Dan Hearn
3rd Position for Rachel Atherton. @maddogboris
Thibaut Daprela with a crazy, nearly 13-second quali win that would have put him 7th in Elite Men's. Like Kovarik in Ft. Bill some years ago. @maddogboris
Vali Holl really came into her own on the bottom part of the track putting 5 seconds into Anna on the last split. -Sven Martin
Troy Brosnan carrying the leader's jersey down to take second spot by just 0.01 seconds. -Dan Hearn
This track is brutal on components and a mechanical in qualifying meant Finn was left walking down the track with his bike. As a protected rider he will still be racing tomorrow in finals. -Dan Hearn
The flip side of the coin. After some serious injuries Bruce Klein is back 24th spot today. -Sven Martin
When was the last time we had a Austrian in the Top 5? David Trummer made it happen. @maddogboris
David Trummer has been on form this season and a solid qualifying run put him in 5th. -Dan Hearn
Amaury into third, but four seconds behind. If anyone can find and make up the deficit, it's Amaury. -Sven Martin
Brook on the fine inside line and leaving a path of destruction in his wake. -Sven Martin
It's always a pleasure to see Brook going wild. @maddogboris
Mitch Ropelato...he was on a good run and we would have loved to see him tomorrow in finals. @maddogboris
Anna Newkirk and Vali were neck and neck at the first 3 splits but the young American lost a few seconds near the finish line. -Dan Hearn
Good ol' Shorty's. Always keep them in the truck for random conditions like this. Troy Brosnan took these to second place today. -Sven Martin
The agony and heartbreak of racing. Rolling into the finish area dusty and visorless after giving it your all. Crushing. -Sven Martin
Kye A'hern slotting into third today, gapping the sketchy rocks up top. -Sven Martin
Laurie Greenland had great pace, matching Loic on most of the track. He just needs to find that little bit extra before split 1 in finals. -Dan Hearn
A new "face" on Vital...Sam Gale! 5th fastest Junior Men today. @maddogboris
Air hoses were handy today. -Sven Martin
Aaron Gwin keeping it low and smooth and trying to find pace in the loose ground. Just under 10 seconds back in 14th spot. -Dan Hearn
Brage Vestavik is known for his berm schralping, getting the tire buzz on the hard pack. He's equally adept on dry, loose, soft berms too. Marshal with shovel stands by demoralized. -Sven Martin
Brand new fisheye. Brand new scratch. Thanks Brendog. -Sven Martin
Deceptively smooth looking turns. Don't be fooled, this is full-on, flat-out rough, loose and fast racing. -Sven Martin
Tracey was up on everyone until she missed her line just before the *RED BULL FUNNY BRIDGE* (their name not ours). Don't count her out. She is hungry for another win. -Sven Martin
Danny Hart berm slapping in the steep under some Jesus light. -Sven Martin
If someone flies sideways and nobody was there to see, it does it still count? -Sven Martin
Yin and Yang with a bit of a dirt tan. It's war out there in the trenches. -Sven Martin
Matteo Iniguez sending the first steep terraced section of the course. From this part on the track is full on until the end. -Sven Martin
Loris Vergier riding with a strapped-up wrist, looking for a few extra seconds tomorrow to repeat his win of last year. -Sven Martin
Adam Brayton dumps clutch and throttles out of the rough. -Sven Martin
Leaned over and poised. Marine Cabirou slots into second spot. Will we see her first win tomorrow? -Sven Martin
Gaetan Ruffin blows the back out of the berm and spots his landing. -Sven Martin
Pappa Pierron tries to hear the finish line commentary far below after Amaury passed by during his qualifying run. He would come down fastest but get bumped by the last two riders. -Sven Martin
Peaty stoked for Loris Vergier's 4th Place. @maddogboris
Emilie Siegenthaler is feeling better and better. She just says that she has to avoid to crash. Comeback podium for her tomorrow?! @maddogboris
Connon Fearon from above! He's a good buddy of Bernard Kerr and everybdy knows he hates "fish from underneath" shots, so we thought this was a better option. @maddogboris
Goncaio Bandeira with the 4th fastest quali time. @maddogboris
And here it is...BK's "Whopper" Gap! @maddogboris
Same Spot, different rider, different style, different light. @maddogboris
Different perspective of Bernard's Whopper gap. Danny Hart made it look kind of easy in his first run in the morning. @maddogboris
Vali Höll is still not 100% fit and strong after her crash at Crankworx Innsbruck...still got the fastest time. @maddogboris
That´s actually front tire roost and no drift! @maddogboris
Mark Wallace with P11 in Quali. @maddogboris
The poor junior woman crashed high up where you see the blue Shimano banner and her bike ended up 15m down in front of us. @maddogboris
Dyfi bikepark builder seen in Andorra today. @maddogboris
2nd place for Troy who, along with Loic, was stoked to put a big 3.5 second time gap into the rest of the field. -Dan Hearn
Squeaking in. Henry Fritzgeral with 58th. @maddogboris
Tahnee's shoulder is getting better and better. We are helping her with some training missions. @maddogboris
If you see spectators in quali its a good sign for a massive crowd for finals. @maddogboris
The Andorran mountains making for a stunning way to start the day. -Dan Hearn
Kade Edwards has not been feeling well the last couple of days, but seems back on form today and qualified 18th. Losing a few PSI in training was maybe the key. -Dan Hearn
Luca Shaw is sitting in 10th after qualis with some time to make up on race day. -Dan Hearn
Marine Cabirou was just half a second back from Nina Hoffmann. Big roost for her quali run! -Dan Hearn
3rd place for Norwegian junior, Mille Johnset. -Dan Hearn
Thibaut Daprela pulled out all the stops to take the qualifying win by 13 seconds! A crazy margin in a field usually so tight. His time would have put him 7th in the elite mens field. -Dan Hearn
Veronika Widmann - like most of the field - is finding the length of the course tough but held a good run together to take 5th in qualifying. -Dan Hearn
The loose ground is being eroded so fast the buried timing cables keep having to be relaid. -Dan Hearn
Gaetan Vige unfortunately didn't qualify but won the style competition off this loose berm to shark fin. -Dan Hearn
Connor Fearon berm smashing for the flat pedal crew. -Dan Hearn
12th spot for Hugo Frixtalon. -Dan Hearn
