Look closely and yous see a rubber strip between the rim and tire bead. The Commencal team is using the good-old 'ghetto tubeless' method along with a generous helping of glue. We guess that because they use aluminum rims, as opposed to carbon which cannot bend or dent, they are taking precautions to assure that any mid-run damage to the rim won't result in a loss of air pressure.
