The bike comes in between 39 and 40lbs. Lars has been working with Transition, developing the TR450. They believe a durable bike is more important for customers than a feather-weight bike.

Kore Torsion bars with 35mm of rise, trimmed down to about 30-inches are on all his bikes. His trail bike bars are a little narrower. A 50mm Kore Direct Mount stem keeps things secure.

Lars runs one of two Fox RC4 rear shocks, depending on conditions and courses. The internals are 'different' but he could not give us details.

A 450lb Ti spring from Fox keeps the weight down. Lars rides a firm set up for racing, but during the off-season, he'll back down to a 400lb spring for less-aggressive riding.

Prior to running the Maxxis High Roller 2 tires, Lars was a Minion DHF 2.5 3C user. In mud, he'd swap to Wet Screams and runs about 28psi in the rear and 24 up front. Photo David Tufino.

Though he's riding with tubes at home, he'll configure a tubeless set up when the condition dictate. 'It's like having little feelers out there...'

Pretty sick for not riding for 4 months. He hopped on his bike right away, even though the settings on his bike were ready for the U.S. Open, not his home trails.
