Drool over the 2012 Scott Genius LT 10, which takes capable, long-travel all-mountain bikes to the next level. $6799 brings you the future today.
The suspension technology inside the Scott Equalizer 3 shock and custom Fox 36 Talas 180 fork make this bike special. Scott's Twinloc system means front and rear travel can be locked out, limited to 110mm rear and 140mm front for pumping and flowing or left wide open at 185mm rear and 180mm front for aggro descents.
The Equalizer3 rear shock is an Oil Transfer System (OTS) shock co-developed by SCOTT and DT Swiss. Projected forces are isolated and the shock is customizable to match the intended ride characteristics of the bike. The shock's location works to lower the bike’s center of gravity and also minimizes unsprung weight to provide small bump sensitivity.
Modern, all-mountain measurements can be tweaked with the geometry chip in the rocker, so you can fine tune your ride.
This 185mm travel bike is under 30lbs thanks to the HMX carbon mainframe which features a tapered head tube.
RockShox Reverb Stealth keeps things clean. Only available on Scott and Trek frames, the Stealth eliminates the problem of cable snag and play.
The Genius LT line uses a 12x142 rear axle and hub system that can be adapted to 135mmx12mm or 135mm x 9mm using Scott's Interchangeable Dropout System. Post Mount 180 brake mounting removes the need for adapters, keeping weight down.
