Gamut is making stems? That's right. Known for their clean and simple chainguides, the company is looking to expand by offering additional products.
The Cillos Direct Mount stem can be mounted in three positions - 45, 50 and 55mm.
A standard Cillos stem will be offered in 40, 50, 60 and 70mm lengths with a 31.8mm bar clamp diameter.
Gamut claims the Cillos DM weighs in right around 120 grams. Not too shabby.
Weight is in the 140-160 gram range for the standard 50mm Cillos stem, depending on what material is used for the bolts.
With a bead blasted middle portion and polished edges, the two tone finish looks pretty classy.
Which do you prefer? Matte or two tone? Let Gamut know in the comments.
Stems should be rolling out as the 2014 season kicks off.
Also new is the Trail SXC guide. It's super light and super simple, and will be offered in a variety of mounting options.
An adjustable top slider allows the Trail SXC to work with several chainring sizes.
For those wanting even more security, the new Trail S offers a simple solution at just 80 grams.
The Trail S uses a replaceable o-ring to keep things quiet.
Much like the X-Sync technology used in SRAM's XX1 drivetrain, Gamut's prototype TTR chainrings use alternating thick and thin teeth to help keep the chain on.
