Introducing the 2016 Morpheus Conspiracy downhill bike. Too good to be true?
Morpheus worked with Anthony Messere, Mitch Chubey, Casey Groves, Brayden Barrett-Hay, Reed Boggs, Liam Wallace, and Wil White to dial in geometry.
Morpheus calls the Horst-link design Optimize Performance Suspension, or OPS for short.
Morpheus aimed for a lively, playful suspension feel.
Production models will come with the FOX Float X2 shock, which features high and low-speed compression and rebound adjustments.
The Conspiracy's boxy look and large tubes add to the overall stiffness.
A Formula 1 level Finite Element Analysis technology was used to help optimize the carbon layup.
The post mount rear brake tabs have replaceable metal inserts should you happen to strip one.
Having tested multiple other bikes, Morpheus isn't shy about their claims.
Coming in at a more affordable price point was a major goal throughout the project, but they wanted to do it without cutting corners.
You're looking at $5,395 for the top-of-the-line complete that's shown here. That's a good deal less than many comparable rides.
Morpheus sells their bikes direct to consumer, but there's more to the story.
It's a Conspiracy.
