Round 2 of the abbreviated 2020 Enduro World Series wraps up with sketchy, variable conditions in the seaside hamlet of Pietra Ligure, Italy. Sven Martin and Boris Beyer tell the stories of slipping, slashing and shredding on the EWS.

It wasn’t all smooth sailing for Melanie Pugin. Despite this crash on stage two, which lost her a lot of time, she still took the win. -Seb Schiek
Florian Nicolai with a 2nd in Pietra. He had a tight battle with Jack and Dimitri. His Stage 5 win saved him. @maddogboris

French Enduro Champ, Morgane Charre finished the second EWS of the year with a Third Place. @maddogboris
Rhys Verner took the win on the queen stage three. Quite an accomplishment as it was long arduous and full of tech gnar. His best EWS finish for the young Canadian. 11th place. -Sven Martin
Sharjah Jonsson may have worked harder than anyone to get here and it's paying off. -Sven Martin
Dimitri Tordo ended up fourth, 0.1 seconds behind Jack. He's fired up for the finale in Finale. @maddogboris
Karim Amour had a good battle with Cedric Ravanel for the Win. After 5 Stages he was just 2.8 seconds faster than Cedric. @maddogboris
Eddie Wide Eyes waited just a little too late to turn on the afterburners. A late charge 2nd and 3rd moved him up a few places into fifth at the end of the day. -Sven Martin

Youn Deniaud was flying solo this weekend with his teammates choosing not to travel from Australia and USA. He will be happy with his comeback from injury on the new bike with a solid eighth place. -Sven Martin
Jesse had a mixed day. A stage win but also a 35th (evidence of off-track excursion on his bars here) and a 26th. Seventh overall for the charging Canadian. -Sven Martin

Estelle Charles with 4th. She was one of the 5 Frenchies in the Top 5! @maddogboris
Isabeau Courdurier on the final stage down to the sea. It finally cleared up and the sun come out turning the muddy rocks into greasy rocks instead. A tough week for sure. -Sven Martin

Cole Lucas had to pull hard for the Ibis team after Robin Wallner took himself out with a big crash. Bex Barona is out with Corona. -Sven Martin
A crash and a sliced hand saw Martin Maes withdraw and head to the hospital to get fixed up. Unlucky for Martin. Heal up! -Sven Martin

Bruno Zanchi with a third in the ever-competitive master men. If you had the Santa Cruz Super 8 poster circa 1998, he was the rider on it. -Sven Martin
Louise Pauline, who has been winning in Masters, chose to race in the Elites this weekend. She racked up a third place stage result and top ten finish in ninth. Not bad for a mother of two. -Sven Martin
