Enduro World Series Finals - Zermatt Race Slideshow 8

View as: Slideshow | One Page

The 2019 Enduro World Series is officially in the books and it wasn't until the very end that Sam Hill was able clinch his third overall title in Zermatt, Switzerland. Martin Maes won the pro men's race, Sam finished 2nd and Florian Nicolai, who was in the hunt for the overall win, narrowly missed out on unseeding Hill. Isabeau Courdurier, who had already wrapped up the women's pro title, took another race win on a bike she had ridden for two days, honoring the late Chad Peterson in the process.

Sven Martin and @maddogboris somehow survived to bring us the race day goods from day of massive, awkward descents.

Hey guys, in the head to head bike comparison that RedBull did between Sam & Florian's bike, bearded guy (whose name I forget) unscrewed a machined presta to schraeder valve adapter & dust cover combo on Sam's bike.
Where do I get that piece of hardware? Never seen it and the power of google is failing me.

Man, everyone has so much motivation everywhere you look to put in the work off season. Maes will be beyond driven after the suspension, Rude the same. Florian has tasted it & will want that top notch. Sam is driven by the slow start to show up healthy in the spring, Daily will want to get back to form, Miguel is starting to believe, Ravanel, Oton & Melamed will be hungry to show up healthy. Neer now knows he belongs & is gonna scare some. It's like the World Cup...if you never got to see video.

Most of the top riders are. But the stress and racing of the World Series season is what they are talking about. I have a suspicion while they will be racing for gold and stripes next weekend there will be a a few more beers, Gelato and Spritz's consumed over race weekend.

Also it is the worst time of the 3 men teams that count, so basically 2/3 are riding for fun, and one poor dude is putting it it all on the line for his country!
