Nate Hills tackles the upper mountain gnar while Fabien Barel gives his take. -Turman
With 31.7 miles (51km) of pedalling and 2800 feet (850 meters) of climbing crammed into one day, finding flow will be key. -Turman
Only 1 of 5 stages is in the Whistler Bike Park, and it's as rowdy as they come. -Turman
When you're not mashing through deep forests, there are no shortage of incredible views here. -Turman
Early on in practice, riders were already feeling it. The terrain is rough, loose, and flat out from top to bottom. Joey Schusler tackles a steep chute on Stage 4. -Trumpore
Considering its length relative to the other stages, Stage 5 may play the biggest role in overall rankings. Jared Graves on the gas. -Trumpore
Even the locals are popping out to spectate. -Turman
Joe Barnes in search of the smooth lines. Good luck! -Turman
81.7 km/h and a max power of 3000+ watts. Graves, you're an animal! -Turman
Flat tire woes. Sniper rocks are around every turn. Let's hope they don't dash many dreams... -Turman
Unlike in previous rounds, riders will not be able to return to the pits in between the first four stages. It's just you, your bike, some challenging trails, and whatever you can carry. Brian Buell is ready to rock. -Turman

An unfortunate crash took Nico Vouilloz out for the rest of the season, leaving Jerome Clementz with a sizable advantage in the points race. -Turman
The first 4 stages cover some rediculous BC terrain, including Kyhber Pass, Business Time, Pura Vida, Baby Snakes, Flank Trail, Billy's Epic, and Bob's Rebob. -Trumpore
Will we see a repeat winner tomorrow, or will some of Whistler's local talent find their way to the top? Dylan Wolsky and Chris Johnston stand a good chance. It's going to be survival of the fittest out there, and we can't wait to see it all shake down. -Turman
