Foot out, flat out Danny Hart for the win! I told him after the win in Mont Sainte Anne that "all good things come in three's," and he should maybe skip the win in Andorra. He didn't skip Andorra, and today he taught me that four is a great number too. #olddogscanlearnnewtricks @maddogboris
Taking no chances on the last corner where Sam Hill went down in 2008. The best rider in the World right now. Oh, it was dusty out there. -Sven Martin
Rachel Atherton rode a perfect season and made history today, backing up her unbeaten World Cup season with a World Champs victory. What else is left? -Duncan Philpott
The battle will continue for a few more years with these three, as well as a couple of others. Rachel definitely had her work cut out for her this weekend to sew up what is now really the perfect season. -Sven Martin
Sometimes you don't want to talk about the rainbow stripes or pose with them before the big race for fear of jinxing it all. This was never the case for Rachel though, as I caught her before her first training run today. -Sven Martin
From neck brace to top step of the podium. With a rear flat too. Saved by Kev's "system" you saw on Vital's Instagram earlier this week. -Sven Martin
It's hard to believe this was Finn just three days ago, and we were unsure if he would even race. What a week. World Champs is on another level with all the craziness happening. -Sven Martin
It's been a battle for Finn but he definitely came out on top. -Duncan Philpott
From winning Junior World Champs in 2015 to silver in Elite World Champs a year later. That's some fair progression for Laurie Greenland! -Duncan Philpott
Pompon's up and down season peaked nicely with a 2nd place to Rachel only 3 seconds back. -Duncan Philpott
Well done, Pom Pon! #frenchpower @maddogboris
What a day for Canada and Magnus Manson. He rode well all year but it really came together for him here. Great to see young talent emerge to fill the void that Stevie Smith has left. -Sven Martin
Flo won his race at the bottom of the track, moving up from 8th to 3rd. -Duncan Philpott
Three Mondrakers on the podium. That's the ENTIRE podium filled with one bike brand. I don't think that has ever happened before in DH. Markus Stoeckl, the evil genius behind 2/3 of it. Congrats. It's been a long time coming. -Sven Martin
Tracey Hannah finished her season healthy and smiling with a solid bronze medal on a track that she never really got along with. @maddogboris
Gaetan Vige is quite the character. He succombed to the Canadian duo today and must fight in the Elite ranks next year. -Duncan Philpott
Gwin was hitting the corners hard during practice, noticably more than previous days, but a hard corner hit in his race run helped end his rainbow stripes run. -Dan Hearn
Aaron Gwin's unhappy ending to a great season of racing. Let's hope he is not cursed with winning Worlds for a long as Steve Peat was. -Photo by @kabelleira
Bernard's best result to date after nearly not being able to race. -Duncan Philpott
Considering Bernard Kerr missed a day of practice, finishing 5th is a huge achievement. He used the non-riding day wisely, scoping lines and comparing differences in riders. -Dan Hearn

Thank you, Duncan! Your unique perspective on MTB in our slideshows is always refreshing.
Rachel and Troy discuss their strength while Mongo records some sneaky audio. -Dan Hearn
That time of year when riders have a few drinks, let their hair down for a few months and internet warriors speculate on all the team rumors. Troy giving Rachel's black beauty a try out after the podiums. -Sven Martin

Tom Bersselaar from Netherlands had a massive crash off the finish line drop coming to a stop here. Stopping the clock in fourth place at the time he came down. He was flown to hospital but thankfully no major injuries. -Sven Martin
One special jersey swap. Loic was super stoked to swap his jersey with Yan Wende Yannick, the first-ever Bolivian to race at DH World Champs. His jersey was even more special because he designed it by himself with his Dad. Well done, guys! @maddogboris
Luca Shaw, not the best run but still a Top 10. I remember it was just a few months ago that Luca would have been ecstatic with a result like this. -Sven Martin
All the lads. Some well deserved beers for Ben and Laurie. Two for dad though, who had to calm his nerves after watching Laurie's wild run. -Sven Martin
Adam Brayton flying above the crowds into the finish area with a Top 15. The whole British team landed in the Top 25. An impressive performance from the cycling-mad nation. -Sven Martin
Josh Bryceland coming flying into the finish area before his long off-season drinking water. -Sven Martin
Troy's first split left him with too big a deficit to make up, missing the podium by less than a second. -Sven Martin
Flo Payet usherd off to the pee test. The podium champagne comes in handy in situations like this. -Sven Martin
There are many faces behind the scenes that do hard work out of the limelight. Mechanics put in almost as many hours as the photographers. The video squids have been asleep for hours already. Jamie Tilbury, Tracey's mechanic, gives me half a second for a portrait. -Sven Martin
Tahnee, riding injured from Andorra, put on a brave face and still rode it down for 5th place. Hopefully she heals up this off-season and carries on where she was mid-season. -Sven Martin
Elliott Heap had a less-than-perfect race unfortunately. He was comfortable enough to give me the double shaka on the fastest section of the course this morning though. -Sven Martin
Loic is a graceful loser, pleasing the crowds despite a less-than-favorable run with a devastating puncture. -Duncan Philpott
Remi sends it into the finals arena to a packed crowd and 6th place. -Duncan Philpott
Greg Minnaar was definitely on the winning bet list for everyone, but this year it was "just" enough for a 7th place. @maddogboris
Danny was not here without fans! -Duncan Philpott
Smiles all round for the shredders today. -Duncan Philpott
The photographers can't get enough of that spray! -Duncan Philpott
Magnus Manson shining on! -Duncan Philpott
Greg Williamson is no stranger to the Top 10 this season, and on this rowdy track he pulled another 8th place. -Duncan Philpott
Let's go racing. -Duncan Philpott
Crazy and SUPER LOUD Italian superfan crowd! @maddogboris
Those pre-race nerves were abundant during the Junior warm up! -Duncan Philpott
One way to psych out those race nerves is to test some reflexes with the mechanic! Nigel settles in Magnus. -Duncan Philpott
Warm-up routines are long and complex. Mobility, spinning and your best dance moves... -Duncan Philpott
Tears, heat, or a bit of both. Tracey already has her sights set on Cairns World Champs. -Sven Martin
Isak Leivsson putting on a show after going down. -Duncan Philpott
Sharkattack Jack pinning it to the Top 10. Movin' up. -Duncan Philpott
Mark Wallace's season was book-ended with good results - 8th in Lourdes and 11th here today. -Duncan Philpott
Laurie making those meter marks looks a little bit bigger. Two compact gents with the tallest on the podium today. -Duncan Philpott
Trek Factory Racing and Mr. Atherton checking out lines for Rachel. For Polish Pete it was the first track walk in 6 years! #lightbro @maddogboris
One stoked mechanic! Kev with Finn's World Champ's winning Demo straight after the Junior Finals. Enjoy the afterparty Kev! @maddogboris
After changing his mind three times, Sven is glad he settled his media sweepstakes bet on Danny. #beersonsven -Dan Hearn
Tracey, Myriam and Marine watch in horror as Manon crashes on the live video feed. -Dan Hearn
Number 1 for number 1... again. -Dan Hearn
It felt like the volume of the crowd was amplified hugely when Danny was on track. Greenland, Payet and Kerr react to a loose moment on the live feed. -Dan Hearn
The finish line bridge had already claimed one victim at the start of the Elite Men, and when Danny landed slightly awkwardly it seemed that he could be the second. -Dan Hearn
Private Specialized Gravity champagne shower in the Pits. #VitalRaw Mono celebrates in the middle. @maddogboris
The future of downhill mountain bike racing! These up and comers have much to look forward to, and we will bring your their stories as they continue to grow as racers and men. @maddogboris
Danny and Laurie will have more than one champagne battle in the future. @maddogboris
Danny Hart and his father Paul. What a tremendous end to an incredible season. -Dan Hearn<br />
