For 2016, Royal Racing has concentrated on simplifying its line-up, as well as continuing to look for ways to save weight and improve other performance aspects. From left to right above, the new Victory, Stage, and Impact kits.

All-new for 2016, the Race Lite short is a lighter version of the Victory short, inheriting the performance-oriented cut of its bigger brother (heavily favoring a perfect fit when on the bike, as opposed to the straighter cut used on more casual items). Made from 350 denier hardwearing polyester, it is perfect for riders who need a race or park-proof short without going all-in with the racing look.

The Race Lite short will go well with the Drift jersey, updated with new colors for 2016 (spot the special edition colorway 7iDP Flex kneepad, which will be available in a one-off run of limited quantities).

Another all-new 2016 item is the Impact short. It combines the characteristics of the 2015 Drift and Turbulence shorts (both now retired) in a lightweight, durable, quick-drying short that will be as much at home in the backcountry as it will in the bike park. It features laser-perforated panels, zipper pockets, and screen-printed graphics.

Stage is Royal's enduro-specific race gear. Lightweight and breathable, it features the "all-ride" cut to make it a good match for lots of different types of riding and conditions. The jersey and short gain new colors and new features for 2016 - big pockets for storage, laser-perforated panels for breathability, and water-resistant coating on the short.

The Quantum glove stays unchanged for 2016, except for the obligatory color refresh. The heavily preformed shape works great for gripping the bars without bunching up the palm area.
