Now its 5th year the award nominated charity event is a fun and friendly free weekend of riding and socializing for all the family.

2018 has once again raised the bar on what a social riding event can be. Over 1500 people through the gates at Llandegla, a significant increase on previous years and in excess of £2.8k raised for their chosen charities #rideforcallum & Welsh Air Ambulance.

A Friday guided ride kicked things off with over 60 people in attendance, followed by some great food from the recently opened Grousemoor in Llandegla.

Saturday started with a little cloud, but as the morning rolled on more and more people started turning up At One Planet Adventure LLandegla, ready to ride. The raffle table was full to bursting with prizes donated by the brands in attendance, and plenty of homemade cake to fuel the riders.

Lunchtime brought the ever-popular raffle and the near 600 pints of free beer donated by Kirkby Lonsdale brewery were all gone by 2pm.

That evening saw a Pizza oven, music and general social buzz as stories were shared of the days riding and new friendships forged in the Welsh countryside.

Si Bradley (founder and head honcho of MTBmeetup) said ‘We have been blown away this year by the support, our aim is to get like-minded people together for a social ride. There are more and more race events on the calendar and we feel, and hope, that MTBmeetup gives people a different chance to come together and ride with old and new friends. We are absolutely stoked we smashed our £2k target for the charities and would like to say a huge thank you to all the riders who came along, the brands who support us and of course to One Planet Adventure for their continued support of the event.
