Grant “Chopper” Fielder signs to Nukeproof for 2013

In the wake of the recount announcement that Sam Hill will be spending the 2013 season riding for Chain Reaction/Nukeproof aboard a Nukeproof Pulse, Nukeproof are delighted to announce that they are further strengthening their athlete line up with the addition of Grant “Chopper” Fielder riding Slopestyle for 2013.Chopper brings fifteen years of riding experience and an incredible level of professionalism which he will put to good use at FMB Slopestyle events, Whitesyle in leogang and select DirtWars UK rounds.

Chopper joins U.S. wonder kid Jack Fogelquist on the Nukeproof Slopestyle team and the mix of Grant’s experience and wisdom along with Jack’s energy and enthusiasm is expected to create some stunning results.

Chopper commented:

“When I found out there was an opportunity to ride for Nukeproof I jumped at the chance. Having seen the brand grow and develop such great products I feel it was a no brainer to get involved and get hands on and assist in development. My goals for 2013 are to remain competitive at the highest level at some of the most prestigious events of the year including Bearclaw invitational and other FMB World tour events and become a great ambassador for Nukeproof.”Like Jack before him Chopper will help develop and test new products for Nukeproof, a process that spawned the Rook slopestyle frame and Solum steel dirt jump frame with Fogelquist in 2012. Chopper will begin his 2012 campaign with a quiver of new bikes including a Rook, Solum, Scalp and Snap.

Alastair Becket, Nukeproof brand manager added:

“We are stoked to have Grant “Chopper” joining our programme this year. It’s great to have someone with such a wealth of experience to work with. Nukeproof is constantly looking to grow and evolve to provide products for riders and racers alike, and having Grant by our side to offer knowledge and enthusiasm will add yet another string to our ever expanding bow.”
