Anneke Beerten Takes Third At the Enduro World Series Race in Val d'Allos

Round #2 of the Enduro World Series was held this past weekend in Val d'Allos, France. The riding in this area was just amazing and the trails were endless. We had to do 6 stages over two days with just one practice run allowed for each stage. I could feel that my riding was improving and after the first day of racing 3 stages I was in 2nd place right behind Tracy Moseley. I started off good on Sunday the second day with a solid run on stage 4, but then I had a big crash on stage 5, over the bars head first into the dirt. I got back on the bike as fast as I could but I lost quite a bit of time.

Although my second day did not go flawless I was still able to get on the box! Happy with ending up in 3rd place. This was one of the hardest races I've ever done. We had over 1h10m of timed Downhill stages and it is hard to hold on to the bars when your arms are cramping up!

We only have a couple of days to recover, this upcoming weekend we are racing round #3 of the Enduro World Series at Crankworx in Les 2 Alpes, France.
