RESULTS - Loris Vergier and Tracey Hannah Fastest in Qualifying at Fort William 4

Scotland is heating up.

Weather calmed down and stayed consistent throughout qualifying as speeds went up at the Fort William World Cup Downhill in Scotland. It was a battle of the French 29er riders as Loris Vergier edged out Amaury Pierron in the Elite Men's class by just .6 seconds. Both riders were the only competitors with times in the 4:34 range as Troy Brosnan came in 3rd with a 4:38.9. Local boy, Reece Wilson took the home court advantage all the way to 4th with Danny Hart just behind in 5th. There are a number of normally fast racers in the Elite Men's class who didn't make the cut today, showcasing just how tough World Cup DH competition is. Riders must be within the Top 60 to qualify for Sunday's race.

Tracey Hannah convincingly backed up a fast timed training with a 1st place qualifier in front Marine Cabirou and Rachel Atherton. Tahnee Seagrave did not compete after injuring her shoulder in training on Friday.

Thibaut Daprela handled the extremely close racing of the Junior class with Luke Meier-Smith and the rest of the Top 5 right on pace. Vali Holl dented the Junior Women once again, proving she's in a class of her own right now.
