RESULTS: Eddie Masters and Isabeau Courdurier Win EWS Les Orres 1

He's done it! Eddie Masters has won his first ever EWS!

The weather threw a bit of a spanner in the works for day 2 of the EWS in Les Orres, France, with heavy morning rain prompting the organizers to cancel one of the day's stages. By the time the riders were on the mountain, the sun was back out again, and the spectators were treated to sizzling hot action and one of the tightest races possible. With the lead changing all day long between Richie Rude, Eddie Masters, and Adrien Dailly, it all came down to the very last stage of the day - and today, it was Eddie's day. Winning by less than a second, the New Zealander went two better than his previous best EWS result, and cemented his standing as one of the fastest enduro riders currently on tour. Certainly validated his decision to come to Les Orres instead of race in Vallnord this weekend. In the women's field, Isabeau finished with a comfortable enough lead, even though Raphaela Richter took two stage wins off the Frenchwoman and was knocking on the door here in Les Orres.

Lee Trumpore raced earlier in the day and managed to capture stages 7 and 8 on video! GNARLY!
