Marcelo Gutierrez Wins Bratislava City Downhill 2013 1

Bratislava City Downhill 2013 was interesting in several ways - first of all, it marks the return of this race format to top urban DH racer Filip Polc's homecountry - this is of course very close to the Polcster's heart, if for no other reason than that. But also, it serves as a pilot event for the City Downhill World Cup, which organizer Jana Vasova hopes to launch in 2014 (aided by Polc himself).

Racing was tight on the short course, and the builders had also come up with enough inner city gnar so as to cause a few of the top names in attendance to actually choose to sit this one out. In the end, urban DH virtuoso Marcelo Gutierrez came out on top, proving once again that he is one of the absolute best in the world when it comes to this particular race format. Check out Marcelo's helmet cam and more trackside video coverage below.
