FINAL RESULTS: Red Bull Joyride 2019

Perfect conditions made for an epic battle at the 2019 edition of the world's premier slopestyle contest.

Red Bull Joyride is the event that every slopestyle rider dreams of winning, and one look at the Crankworx Whistler venue on contest day explains why. Epic crowds were treated to a show of unrivaled proportions as the world's best threw down on a perfectly sculpted course that provided just the right mix of amplitude and difficulty. When the proverbial dust settled, Brett Rheeder's quest for the triple crown of slopestyle came to a halt, perhaps "just" one bigger trick away from repeating what only Nicholi Rogatkin has previously managed. Rogatkin threw down with customary gusto but a few bobbles saw him land in fourth, while Dawid Godziek called it good after run number one once his podium spot was locked down. One run was also all that Emil Johansson needed to complete his fairy tale return to the highest echelons of the sport - it's hard to call it a comeback when the person in question is only 20 years old, but the road traveled over the past two seasons by the stylish Swede has been more than rough enough to warrant the term. Congratulations Emil!
