what do you guys run for all-mountain tires? i have WTB mutanoraptor 2.4's right now, pretty stoked on them...they're predictable and roll well, but am curious to see opinions from you all on your trail bike tires.
how do you balance the desire to run aggressive treads w/o having to drag them up to the top?

I think most people round here run 2.3-2.5 as the trails here need grip more than rolling, we will all suffer on the climbs to make the descent more fun!!
I've had good luck with maxxis advantage and larsen TT 2.25's as well.
Now I'm on Intense Edge Exdc Lites, 2.5 size. I like a fatter tire. And look, climbing sucks. There's not much that is going to make it more appealing to me, at least not at the expense of sacrificing my comfort and control on the way down. The day I start changing or buying parts to specifically make the climb better, I'll buy an XC bike
I would like to try a set of the Minion 2.3 EXO DHF
At the beginning of the year I moved between a 2.5 and a 2.35 Intense 909 EXDC single ply up front, tubed.
Tried to convert the 2.5 Intense to tubeless but it burped Stan's like a sick newborn.
