With all the recent pre-season changes I thought I would start this fun thread again this time for the 2013 UCI World Cup season.
Do you guys think with some of the big rider changes such as Hill and Gwin, will these changes affect how they ride next year. I think if anything these new changes will motivate Hill and Gwin to prove themselves on their new teams.
As with the past couple of years I think Gwin is a safe bet for 2013, I'm certain he'll be on the top of the podium a couple of times and most likely take the overall again. Guys like Minnaar and Atherton surely be battling it out and will be hungry for some wins this season. Along with those guys you also have Hart, Bryceland, MacDonald, Fairclough, Brosnan, Hannah who can all put together super fast runs.
Being from Canada I'm always gunning for Steve Smith, Crankworks triple crown champion and Hafjell winner I hope Stevie can be on top of the podium again this season.
Peaty, well you can never count out Steve Peat, so much experience and still so fast.
In terms of world champs, for 2013 they are being held in Pietermaritzburg, so my prediction would be either Gwin and Minnaar, just depends who’s in better shape for the race. Both have done well here in the past, Minnaar will want to win in his home country.
Either way, this year should be pretty exciting!!
