Kona Process 153 29, Big Honzo and Honzo ST at Eurobike 1

Kona has finally brought us the 29er version of their much loved Process 153 platform. In addition to fitting bigger wheels across the range which all Kona models this year are based on two materials, two wheel sizes, and two levels of builds. They’ve also taken the opportunity to updates some of the components on the high-end Deluxe builds.

The new Process 153 Carbon Deluxe 29er, has a 66-degree head angle, between 75.7 and 76-degree seat tube angle, and Kona’s traditionally short chainstays at 425mm. The bike showcases a RockShox Lyrik RC2 fork coupled with a RockShox Super Deluxe RCT Trunnion shock, Code RSC brakes (upgraded from Guide), X01 Eagle, and Minion DHF front and back in 29x2.3-inches.

Also new from Kona, the evolution of the Big Honzo line. This is a versatile hardtail based around the 27.5+ platform available in a carbon and steel version. This carbon hardtail comes with a RockShox Revelation 130mm fork, SRAM NX Eagle drivetrain, Guide T brakes, and a RockShox Reverb with the traditional plunger lever. Maxxis Rekon tires front and rear. A size large offers 475mm of reach, a 67.5-degree head tube angle, and a 75-degree seat tube angle.

And to celebrate 30 years of Kona, they’ve also brought out a limited edition of their regular Honzo, the 29er Honzo, which is called the Honzo ST for steel. This is a good-looking, polished steel frame which has sliding dropouts should you wish to run it in single-speed guise, a fancy polished head badge, and a limited-edition chromoly Reynolds frame. They are only making 201 of these, and the one we are looking at here is number 54.

A size large comes in a 475mm reach with a 68-degree head angle and 415mm chainstays. This frame is optimized around 120mm of fork travel.

Finally, we'd be remiss to not floss out the Supreme Operator DH bike because it just looks fast standing still, can run big or small wheels and is nicely refined these days.
