Giant Creates a Better Aggressive MTB Helmet with the Rail SX - Sea Otter Classic 1

This lid was developed to meet the demands of the Giant Factory Off-Road Team enduro racers.

Giant's new helmet features the MIPS brain protection system, and a lightweight, highly ventilated design. Compared to the previous Giant Rail helmet, the Rail SX has a refined shape with an additional 3mm front, 3-5mm side, and 8-10mm rear coverage to give riders more protection.

Looking the helmet over in person, you can tell Giant spent a good deal of time refining the details. The MIPS system helps protect you when rotational impacts occur, and in this particular helmet it fits very closely to the shell to create a more secure fit that doesn't jiggle on your head. The number and size of vents is impressive, and deep channels help air flow though the helmet to keep you cool.

The new Cinch One Pro fit system cradles your head nicely, is vertically adjustable, and works well with ponytails in the women's Liv version of the helmet.
