Fox Racing Enduro Pro Knee Guard - "I really like these pads so far. Only one crash on them and it was from going too high on a berm. It resulted in more of a slide versus straight impact to the knee cap. The fabric is very light (more than the Launch Enduro) with more substantial padding. They don't get too hot, no hot spots, and dry fast. They are very snug when you first put them on but they stay in place well. They can be difficult to slide off when you're finished riding and are sweaty and tired. Not a big deal. These pads tend to form to my kneecap better than the 7iDP Transition and 100% Terratec pads. They are long so it's easy to avoid the thigh gap. They also cover quite a bit of my shin.

Overall, these are the pads I'd recommend for pedal friendly, minimalist protection on trail rides." - Read more»

TIME Speciale 8 Clipless Pedal - "I've ridden Shimano, Wellgo, Crank Brothers Candy, and various options from Time. That includes the Z, MX6, XRoc, and these. They have the classic Time feel and you know exactly what you're getting. The float is good, engagement is great, easy to get out when needed, etc. I can't say I can feel the pins add anything for me even when I'm unclipped in a sketchy section. There's a reason that Time pedals have such good reviews. Do they have flashy World Cup champs designing new pedals and come out w/ big press releases? Not that I'm aware of. I don't ride these because my favorite DH or Enduro rider is sponsored and uses them. They simply work well.

I ride with Giro Terraduros and the cleats all the way to the back. Make sure your cleats are not too beat up. That's the only time I have issues with Time pedals. The material is somewhat soft and after a season of riding they need to be replaced. Cheap fix." - Read more»
