I find that hard to believe. I regularly ride in PNW winters (very mild for all intents and puposes) and even then the reverbs i've had perform noticeably worse, specially when you get close to freezing. I've never had that happen with cable remotes or shifters. It's just a fact of basic fluid mechanics.

When I had it hydraulic, it would freeze up when it's under 32 (yes, it gets that cold here in Nor-Cal) and I've heard from countless others having the same issue. I switched to cable and that solved it. ....as for "sub-zero" I'm not sure who/why anyone would ride at that temp! =)

I ride weekly through South Dakota winters, as long as it’s above 0 degrees F. In my experience suspension components, hydraulic brakes, and especially reverbs perform at less than 100% of warm weather operating performance when the temps are below freezing. I’ve had 2 reverbs the last 2 years and even when they are working great at warm temps they are super slow to return to full extension in below freezing temps. Once one developed some sag it would get stuck down and would not return until it was warm in the shop at home. I was happy with the warm weather performance when bled and maintained but neither one could handle temps below freezing without issues.

Evil videos just aren't the same without Strobel ripping a new one in some dark and loamy PNW trail.

I believe it’s mostly to help you get a spring rate between offered rates; I.e. if fox offers a 400# and 450#, then this would give you a 425#. This also allows for tuning on days where you want more sag (loose over hardpack) or less sag (bomb holes or carrying a heavy pack / constipation).

It seems like they want this vehicle to be a moto by selling it in a powersport market. It gives a real mixed signal to both industries where the vehicle belongs and what rules/laws to abide by

It may be clever but I personally think it's awful looking... it really ruins all the clean lines of the design

My point isn't that these bikes shouldn't exist, its that why are they so portly? The suspension is lighter. The frames should be lighter, since the fork axle to crown is less. You don't need Codes or Saints. You want good EXO tires, but I'd argue you don't need DDs. You can probably get away with slightly lighter rims.

My 6" enduro bike is built tougher but weighs (and cost) less. I love my aggro hard tail for how it handles differently, but it weighs a ton less than my enduro.

I fail to see the point of a short travel aggro XC bike when they average over 31 pounds. My 6" enduro bike (that can pedal extremely well with light tires) weighs just at 30 pounds.

So many corners that would be major schralpzzzzz today on a long bike with a big wheel but on that 26" demo with a 420ish CS it just whips right around
