Every time I see KHS mentioned, I’m amazed they’re still around. Mainly because no bike pub covers them unless it’s related to a self-created video.

Did you install the tires? If so, you may have nicked the tape with the tire lever.

That way it's story research, not just riding his bike! wink

Soon enough. Thats actually what we were filming for but ended up with enough riding footage to slap together a quick edit.

The difference between Vital test members & PB testes is that most VitalMTB riders qualified for pro licenses. Trumpore, Howell, Wentz, Sven, Turman... So if a bike needs to be ridden hard to expose limitations or positives, I trust them far more than any other site

Wait a second, I thought the general rule was all media is mediocre at riding, and great at writing. Your turning the average Joe's world upside down!

Or is it sealant seeping out?

Out of curiosity, how did you scrub the rim clean? Just wondering if water got in the spoke nipples and is being pushed out by the pressure. Did the tire lose air overnight?

Crap. Yes, I meant the new Debonair upgrade kit they just announced. That is what I purchased. Apologies for the confusion.

So I purchased the 2.1, but have yet to install it. As a result, this my reasoning for purchasing it, but I hope to get a ride in this week and can report back on performance. Up until late last year, I've always been a Fox fan, but started to feel like ... more »

Take a look at the Kona Process 153. Not sure what the weight restrictions are on the CR DL (carbon) model, but they have the aluminum version as well. I too live in Washington and the Kona is perfect for our trails. Happy to share more details on it. ... more »

Bottom bracket?

Unimpressed. Pretty much another DHR knock-off except sharper ramp on some the knobs.

You worked for Time, yet you have a mudguard as your avatar? Why not a pedal? In all seriousness, this is where my head was going as I was writing the original post. From an outsider's point of view, it seems like mountain bikes would need to go through ... more »

Browsing Competitive Cyclist, the price of a road bike frame got me off guard. A Wilier frame was going for $5400...frame, fork and seatpost. That’s bonkers. When compared to top of the line MTB frames, we‘re talking about $2k difference. What gives? ... more »

The Kona Process 153 is an awesome bike and you often get more for your money. There’s usually some good deals on used ones.

I'll be honest, when they sent me the idea for a QR code on a wrench, I was like "really, didn't those suck from the minute they came out" but then went to the link & it's hilarious. Best use of a QR I've seen in literally forever.

(I designed a lot of the stuff in this box.. and other boxes for Vital).
