Added a comment about video Course Preview | 2014 MTB Nationals at Angel Fire Bike Park 6/18/2014 8:24 AM

It is fast, but not as long as normal. USAC likes the natty course to be around the 3-5 minute mark. If you tried to make it down most of AF's courses in 5 minutes, you would be disappointed. Upper Boogie and Pepper Spray would wreck your dreams.

Added a new video UCI 4X World Championships 2014 6/18/2014 7:23 AM

Bad Translation: Our LemonMedia team four-cross was commissioned for the official highlight clip of the UCI World Championships 2014! Best mood and bustling crowds of spectators title were allowed to battle it out for the 49 male and 16 female finalists the four-cross UCI, where is the concept of the four cross quite literally to "fight". On the course Builder and four-cross legend Guido Tschugg built route there were some sticking points, where room for daring overtaking manoeuvre was present. For example, on the last jump of the track where the riders among large, large or small, safer dive could choose. Seen in this way also in the women's final: relatively soon after the start, it was clear that Beerten and curd could go in their own League and only each other disputed the title. Both chose the big jumps in contrast to the third - and fourth-placed Steffi Marth (GER) and Helene Valerie Fruhwirth (AUT) and settle already ahead of the so-called "tschugg curve" virtually uncatchable by their Verfolgerinnen. Beerten looked like the secure winner until the last jump, but opted for the "small" line. Katy curd ventured about the Pro line and won valuable yards with perfect technique, so she went as leading into the last corner and no longer take the victory down the stretch left: "I had finished already with the victory, the last big jump was my only hope, and somehow it was enough to overtake!" The German Steffi Marth in the goal, who himself was happy about the bronze came third, to fourth place was the Austrian medal hope Helene Valerie Fruhwirth.

Added reply in a thread What makes a good trail? 6/17/2014 11:48 AM

I prefer trails that are rough enough to keep the spandex away. After that, it just depends on my mood. Sometimes a flow trail is what I need, and other days I want a jerky challenge.

Added a new video Antoine Dubourgnon: Natural Born Freerider 6/16/2014 1:03 PM

For the past 6 or 7 years, Antoine Dubourgnon took part in the biggest freeride/slopestyle events in the world (Red Bull Rampage, Chatel Mountain Style...) and he style rides very well and very often. Watch him in Ardeche, on his track in Vesseaux... a very hot day. A few crashs later, that little edit was realised without him taking too many risks but showing he's still not afraid to ride steep tracks. The shooting day was exhausting for him and he was very brave ! More informations: TchoukTV: tchouktv.com/ AisaBike - Banshee France: facebook.com/Aisabike.Banshee. Added a new video Tweedlove Dual Slalom - Gee Milner Films 6/12/2014 1:58 PM

n 2013 TweedLove hosted our biggest dual slalom so far. Chris Ball and Miranda Balfour took the overall wins, but with the likes of Steve Peat in the mix, and Josh Bryceland handing out the prizes, it was a great mix of grass roots and visiting stars sharing a great evening of informal duelling. This year, with many EWS riders still in the valley and lots of British Downhill Series riders passing through en route for Fort William, the party’s looking like getting even bigger. New race tracks are being put in place and we’re tweaking the system to make sure it all runs smoothly.

Added reply in a thread 2014: Bike Park Pricing and Opening Dates 6/4/2014 8:33 AM

mtbparks.com does a good job of it too, but I prefer condensed information. Neither site includes ROI days or total available weekends. I would also like to do a column for miles of trail and cost per mile, but have not had time yet.

Eh, just depends... Granby has not been the same without Momentum Trail Concepts, and is trying to attract an eclectic mix of hardcore racers and families. I feel like they are going to fail at both unless they pick one over the other. For the past two years, they ... more »

Winter Park has a small percentage of steep or technical, and is more suited to beginning riders and those who 'only ride park'. Keystone has more steep and technical trails than any of the other resorts, and is probably more what you are looking for. ... more »

I added some more resorts outside of Colorado, and removed the early season rates that have already passed. The Freeride pass is still in the list, but should stand on it's own as one of two multi-park Passes I am aware of.
