PLAN "B" Norco Torrent HT Custom Build
Parts
General Info
This is PLAN "B", my custom build frame-up Norco Torrent HT hardtail. This bike is my back up all-mountain and off-season training bike. I put time on this bike when I want to mix things up and feel my Enduro Bike (Norco Sight 29er) is too much for the trails I am riding that day.
The build is all listed above and have nothing but great things to say about all the parts on this build. I will add, that I run Cush Cores in both the front and rear tire setups. I find them to give me extra confidence when running lower PSI in my tires. I am 180lbs and run 24PSI in the Front and 26PSI in the rear. The grip is ideal for riding in the Southeast. I use Joe's No Flats ECO Sealent and have found it to work great with the Continental Tire setup on the Boyd Cycling Wheels.
I have been lucky to be a wheel tester over the past 4 years with Boyd Cycling. I put a lot of race and none race hours on their MTB wheels for them. I am currently running 2020 Ridgeline 30mm internal carbon hoops laced on the 2020 Boyd Cycling Tripel Boost MTB hubs. I am running these hoops on all my bikes (DH and Enduro) with Cush Cores. I have been very impressed and have yet to have a problem with them. Be on the watch out for them on the Boyd Cyclings web page late fall.
I do run this bike in either 27.5 or 29er mode and have played around with a 97er setup as well. This bike has been super fun no matter the wheel size I am running on it. I can take it out to my local trails setup on 29ers and put in some fast training laps and then throw on the 27.5s to do runs on the Dual Slalom track after. I have nothing but great things to say about this bike!
