PETALUMA, Calif. (May 2, 2018) Kitsbow, maker of premium cycling clothing and accessories, announces a new collaboration with Polartec, a long-term partner creating a range of innovative fabric solutions.
“After a number of distinctive garments designed with Polartec technologies over the years, I’m excited to formally recognize the partnership between our companies with our most recent Polartec innovation: Power Wool™,” said Zander Nosler, Founder and CEO of Kitsbow.
Polartec Power Wool™ is a two-component fabric offering a Merino wool interior, which retains insulation and breathability even when wet. With a synthetic outer layer where moisture can expand and evaporate quickly while retaining shape and compression, this technology dramatically improves durability and maintains natural antimicrobial properties. Additionally, Power Wool™ works to control microclimate, better regulating body heat and adjusting to suit different temperatures.

Kitsbow will incorporate the Polartec fabric into styles that support extreme athletic activities in cold and/or wet environments, such as leg warmers and arm warmers. Combining the best of both natural and synthetic fibers, these new styles will offer a higher level of compression, shape retention, natural odor resistance, durability and breathability.
